Sanford

The State:

Gov. Mark Sanford has asked the South Carolina Supreme Court to block a state ethics panel investigating the governor from releasing its initial findings to lawmakers who could decide to remove him from office.

Sanford, who vowed to fight "tooth and nail" any effort to remove him from office, argues that releasing the report to lawmakers could be used for political purposes and could compromise his defense.

How does one state produce so many rotten politicians at one time--Sanford, DeMint, Wilson, that we know of---and wonder of wonders, they are all Repugs.

Sanford has a new best friend. David Letterman should be able to help the Governor with his monologue.

There is no such thing as an "initial" investigation report. The Ethics Commission will issue one report. So apparently our Gov Sanfraud is greatly concerned about what's in this report.

In the meanwhile, Miss Jenny, who just wants the media to leave her alone, is working on her book.

These two are such a joke.

Sorry Governor Sanford, you can't have it both ways. To not release it would be unethical, hence the name "Ethical Report". You as the leader of the state should have known you are to lead by example, you have mocked your predecessors for lack of ethical responsibilities, an now you want the report on you to "not be released? That to me speaks of hypocracy of the worst kine. Thats like saying to your 3 sons, gay sex is a sin, an you go out an have gay sex. Now that I think of it, I pity them, for having to bear the brunt of jokes no matter where they go in public. All because of your irresponsible actions, they'll have to suffer the consequences of having a father who cheated on their mother.

It's more than a little ironic that the governor who was all for transparency in state government doesn't want the investigation of his behavior released to the legislature.

This isn't about the affair, I really don't care who he's done. The investigation centers around his accepting free flights from the "friends" he made during his campaign and his use of state aircraft for personal and campaign purposes.
