I just got a pair of these in brown, with a little jewel under the ankle, and I love them. I wasn't a big fan of the clog looking crocs and was surprised they had this style when I was searching for a pair of brown flats. They are terrifically comfortable with my jeans and other informal wear. They look stylish and nondesript. Then I just encountered this article. I enjoy Tim Gunn and love his taste, but as far as this goes, I say "lighten up dude', it's not llike she's wearing flip flops. I didn't know they came in that color blue - which, I admit, looks kinda immature. My skin tone is similar to Michelle's and the brown looks very neutral and like leather on me. Perhaps Tim would feel better if she had selected another color for ice cream runs with her daughters.

Crocs at the beach or at the lake or even in the back yard are okay. Tim shouldn't be so prissy about it. Now if she were wearing them out shopping, then he would have a point.

Love Mrs. Obama, but plastic shoes are generally pretty hideous, IMHO. (I am guilty, however, of wearing plastic black rain boots with white polka dots. :o)
