There's a report out that the couple is saddled with a $720,000 mortgage on their $1.12 million house. There was talk that TLC bought the house for them outright but we've learned that is not true. TLC paid them a salary and that's it.

I totally agree with you, she has money hidden,locked out Jon from there assets, she deserves an award for her performances.It totally is not about the kids anymore. There past the cute stage and there are so many other shows out there with stable parents and not by polor.

I heard she was crying about not being able to take her children to NY to see the Statue of Liberty. Why not get a real job and pay for it yourself or allow TLC to pay for it? Or is it that now that she can't sell her children on TV that TLC won't pay for any more vacations?

THE GOSSELINS WERE GREEDY, AND MOVED FROM HOUSES THEY COULD AFFORD to bigger and more expensive ones at least twice since having their sextuplets.
Each time, Kate Gosselin kept saying "THIS HOUSE HAS SIMPLY GOTTEN TOO SMALL FOR US." She wanted to top anything her neighbors and family had, and she did it come hell or high water. Now they find themselves in debt. Well, they should do what anyone else does when they find they cannot afford something, they DOWNSIZE !

She couldn't afford the house they live in on a nurse's salary, and he never made enough money to support any of them properly. Now neither one of them have a job to support their kids. No wonder they are on television everyday to pull one another apart. They are getting paid to do these daily little CRYING SCENES !
These two wanted to pimp their family for money. Did they think it would last forever? What was she going to do when the ratings dipped, pop out a few more young-uns?
That's fame for you, Gosselins! Here today and gone tommorow. Should have thought of these things before you decided to put your life on display, with no other means of income. Now it's the kids who have to suffer: two useless, self-centered parents, and a couple of years of video of the car-crash that was their homelife to haunt them forever.
Jon seems to be taking actions that are only hurting his children. What good father would empty their check account and leave their children in a situation where they might be homeless and without the bare necessities in life.
At least the mother is trying to hold a job and pay the bills. While the father is determined to party and continue hurting his children.
Until the father can come up with a way to sustain his children's financial needs, he should stop derailing the only means of income available to them at the time.
He is on the way to winning the WORST FATHER OF THE YEAR AWARD!

They only had 200,000 left n the bank, what happened to the 75,000/episode x 36 episodes last year (and that was just last year, what about previous years)? What about all the money from Kate's appearances and book tour? The TWO of them were obviously horrible with money so don't put it all on Jon's shoulders, it was a joint account...
Larry King said it was $25,000/show when Jon was on his show. That's still a of money. I would've never moved into a mansion. Secluded, yes, mansion, no.

Kate has a way to earn money, and through all of teh advice Jon is getting, he is determined to destroy it all.
I wish Nancy Grace or Larry King had asked Jon how he intends to support his children if he gets his wish and torpedoes the show.
The only thing Jon is focused on is opposing Kate. He never speaks of plans to support his kids post show on TLC.
Anyone who calls himself a man wouldn't destroy the means to keep a roof over the kids head and have mommy be able to stay at home and raise them.
Guys do this all the time in divorces. Take out money. Hide money. Leave the wife, and, I'll bet he'll start a new family with a younger woman!
Is it at all possible for a judge to put a gag order on these two and prevent them from giving interviews or discussing this divorce publicly? Clearly they are incapable of making adult choices, so can someone find a judge that can persuade them to zip it?
I thought that when the media was first notified of the pending divorce, Kate told us that this was the last we'd hear from them until the divorce was final.
Then.........we "hear" from both Jon and Kate almost every single day since Kate told us we weren't going to hear from them until the divorce was done.

None of this should come as a surprise (assuming it's true) - people who know nothing about wealth and then suddenly find themselves swimming in loot (lottery winners for instance), tend to overspend (to say the least) and quickly lose grasp of reality.
They thought the gravy train was on a circular track and would continue to go round and round. Now somebody has pulled the emergency brake and it turns out the track was not connected at the other end.
You are absolutely right. Look at how many professional athletes there are who get paid millions of dollars per year, but then somehow, they blow it all. Obviously, the financial planner needs to come along with the enormous checks these people are getting. There is no reason why Jon and Kate have not built a large nest egg.
..............Jon says Kate did all the "banking".........did she hide money [maybe there is more than one set of accounting books] when she knew the split was on the horizon? Also, where is the all money from her book deals and endless personal appearances??
She called this "liquid" money. Perhaps they have money tied up in cds, bonds, investments, etc. They need to rework this situation.
These two are both a piece of work. They make tons of money exploiting their kids and can't seem to figure out how to make it financially. I feel bad for the kids. They're having a great adventure with the show now but it's not going to last once they're not cute and little anymore.

Both of these parents are poor excuses for parenting, exploite the kids buy a zillion dollar home, screw around, bash one another then say "it's all about the kids".
There are LOTS of couples, parents out in the world just like the Gosselins ... they just aren't all on teevee airing their business.
