What's Your Reaction?

Michele Bachmann is frequently ridiculed by MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, but she wants him to know that she is unafraid of his criticism: "I'm certainly not going to fear the likes of Keith Olbermann."

In an appearance at The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, Bachmann proclaimed her disdain for MSNBC and continued her recent gushing about Fox News:

Quite honestly, I don't even know anything about MSNBC. It's not a network that I watch and most of the American people agree with that assessment. They aren't watching it either. And that's why Fox's ratings - I mean it's like CNN, CNBC, MSNBC combined. I think Fox even exceeded one of the major networks last week. They're on the ascendency.

This woman is not of right mind. How anyone could actually vote her into office, especially Minnesota just stumps the brain.

What is in that wild rice that her constituents are eating?

Bachmann must embarrass Minnesotans. If only she would take her medication.

When your base is a dwindling group of angry white people who make a lot of noise, well, then its easy to think that you and Fox are on an 'ascendency'

Bachman stated on msnbc Hardball that there are unpatriotic members of congress and requested they all be investigated. When called on it she coward away from statement. MSNBC lets you put your own foot in your mouth and challenges statements made on shows.Bachman is a Birther,Deather and could be responsible for the murder of a cencus worker with her foolish comments. She should be held accountable and MSNBC does that.

I think some folks are clearly dishonest, like some at Fox.
I think Michelle Bachman is honest; she believes what she says.
Which raises the question what basis people use to decide something is true. She seems to think that whatever is floating around in her head is true.

If she's not afraid and doesn't pay attention to them... why does she even mention it?

As Bill Maher said on Real Time this week in reference to Mz. Bachman "The cave floor called it wants its bat s h ! t back". 'Nuff said.

I think Mr. Kieth is too mean to make any sense, it is people like him who are hurting our President, acting like how does and not being on the issues. Just his own made up rudeness puts out a bad vibe for anybody who can stand to watch his tv show..

Keith merely fortifies the president's base. If you want rudeness, tune into FOX news weekdays from Glen Beck to Bill O'Reilly.

Olberman is right on track. The truth is always hard to take if you don't believe it.If someone isn't honest they should be sued.I enjoy Olbermans passion. Beck has passion however its not factual.

Keith make perfect sense. I mean if the call-outs are considered cruel to some, It is considered justifiably deserving by many others (including KO's audience)

Maybe she should fear fellow Minnesotan Ed Shultz, who on MSNBC, Dead On calls her own words "Psycho Talk" 3-4 times a week.... (and that's not including his radio show)

At first, I thought if I could have one Michelle Bachmann a day, I'd be all right. But my need has gotten worse. I need two. If I don't get my two, I get headaches, dizziness, blurred speech. I realize the people of her corner of Minnesota are dependent upon her to represent their interests in Congress. But I have my needs too and my needs are more intense. Is there some way we could have a web site devoted to her. A videocam could be at her desk and whenever she has a profundity, she could just turn it on and go live at the web site. Please. I know I need help, but I can't go to rehab without some kind of tapering off. Cold turkey is beyond what I'm capable.

I am amazed how just a few months ago say before the last election that Rep Michelle Bachmann (R)Mn. and others like her were all the rage of the ruling past administration, back when Liberals, progressives, or any groups who would dare raise questions about the status quo were called traitors, unpatriotic, appeasers, not supporting the troops, baby killers, immoral, haters of family values, enemies of the president because of some opposition to the lies used to enter Iraq. Words escape me of all the insults made against those who wanted the administration to fess up and lead the American people down the right path.

May those who love this country never again allow the forces of deception and darkness to arise and cause us the fate of the last 8 years. Never Again.

"Quite honestly, I don't even know anything about MSNBC. It's not a network that I watch..." Well, Michele, I guess you appear on channels without knowing anything about them and don't watch programs on which you have appeared.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJIQm_7YAUI -

She said the same thing after her appearance on Hardball and claimed she "walked into a trap." Ah! poor Michele. She was also a regular on CNN during the Presidential campaign spouting off against Obama.

In 2008, she made 22 appearances on Cable News Channels, 11 (50%) on Fox, 9 (41%) on CNN and 2 (9%) on MSNBC, of which station she claims no knowledge.

In 2009, so far, she has made 24 appearances, 16 on Fox (66%) 4 on CNBC (17%) and 4 on CNN (17%), including Tuesdays performance on Larry King. She has "sworn off MSNBC." Of her 16 appearances on Fox, 6 have been on Beck and 4 on Hannity.

Safe havens Michele - you are so brave - where you can spout your hatred filled rhetoric to adoring talking heads and their viewers.

While reading the article my mind was racing back to the night she appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews and was making her accusations that many of the people serving in the Congress really did not care for America and that some investigative reporters should do a expose to ferret them out so the American people could know who they were.

little did i realize that she would turn out to be the biggest whatever of the Republigan Party.

I remember it well. She was terrific. The smile, the nobody's home look in her eyes. She's never been better.

From one corner of the mouth comes this:"I'm certainly not going to fear the likes of Keith Olbermann."

From the other, this: "Quite honestly, I don't even know anything about MSNBC".

Yep. She's talking to people who won't know what she has just done. Even worse, she may not know what she has just done.

[Hint: the two statements cannot both be true].

Minnesota, are you embarrassed yet??

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 04:28 PM on 10/08/2009

Cut us some slack! Check out the demographics of Bachmann's district. There are lots of very wealthy people and those of us not earning six figures have a hard time competing with those who do. We are getting used to being mocked by the rest of the country; Jesse, Coleman, Bachmann... We are/were mocked about Wellstone and Franken too but thems braggin' rights!

Mad-Michele's knowledge of the TV talk-networks is reminiscent of Sister-Sarah's grasp of the magazines and journals she reads.

There were times in our history when the Ku Klux Klan was on the ascendancy, when Father Coughlin held forth. Are those our standard for progress and decency and justice?

If we decide the truth of things by their tv ratings, then Simon Cowell is the final arbiter of all questions.
