AskMen.com:

Shepard Smith is one of the most-watched newsmen in America, as well as one of the highest-paid anchors in the country. His fast-paced nightly news program, The FOX Report with Shepard Smith, has ranked as Nielsen Media Research's top-rated cable news show for nearly 100 consecutive months, and consistently attracts more viewers than CNN and MSNBC's nightly reports combined. His afternoon program, Studio B, also beats CNN Newsroom and MSNBC Live by the same margin.

I'm reading all of the posts here and he's clearly being stereotyped for being on Fox. Shepard Smith is actually quite liberal and if you didn't see it, he recently schooled a republican senator on health care. Before you condemn him because you think all Fox news anchors are right wingers ... you should actually watch his show.

Old news. And if he is an indication of influencial intelligence...we are in a bigger heap of trouble than once thought. He left CNN which isn't much to brag about either, but he did go to Faux....who is he influencing? Oh ya, this is Glennie's cable isn't it?

Shep is right up there with Beck and O'Reilly. Nothing to brag about.

you have him all wrong. He's actually quite liberal and does not hesitate to beat up on the republicans. Did you miss him attacking a republican senator on health care?

Shep is one of the most creepy-looking people on TV that's for sure. But he is a FOX news reporter so what else is new?

Is Shep Smith now unemployable, having worked for Fox ? I hope not I would like to see him on another network.

Shep may be influential today but he was more enjoyable when he was paired with Moe and Curley in the past.

Smith is a liberal actually.

Guess it's guilt by association. Kind of like Scarborough on MSNBC.

Poor MSNBC. Must be Rachel and KO who are bringing the ratings down. LockUp still has 2 viewers.

Both hosts and MSNBC are doing extremely well if you knew anything about broadcasting. Which you obviously do not.

That's what I was going to say and might I add he is the ONLY one on Fox who tries to be fair and balanced.
08:05 PM on 10/06/2009
I second that!

Geez, that is too bad. He left CNN and I liked him there..but when you sell your soul..... One thing however, there are not too many men on these media shows to pick from...so I guess he is one of them. I wish he would leave Faux News....or at least break out in a rash from being there.
11:57 AM on 10/07/2009
He's too balanced for either CNN or FOX and perhaps should have his own show on MSNBC as they (for the moment at least) seem to be giving air time to a few who have the guts to say what they think, call out BS and ask tough questions. I'm not holding my breath that MSNBC will add any more honest men who care about the truth and the country to their staff, but hey, you never know.
