Beyonce Knowles, whose loss to Taylor Swift in the Best Female Video category prompted West to storm the stage and steal the microphone from Swift at the Sept. 13 ceremony, says she understands the rapper's motivation.

"Art is in the eye of the beholder." And I guess who ever voted was beholden to Beyonce. I like both artist. But Swift's video showed a story with the song. Beyonce's video was just 3 girls dancing on a white stage along with a song. Not too artistic to me.

I remember thinking that Beyonce's move that night was classy. But then I heard her father was backstage and HE was the one that arranged for Beyonce to call Taylor Swift back up during her acceptance speech. So really, it was Beyonce's DAD that had class. I kept waiting for a reaction from Beyonce and Jay Z in the press that week. Not one word. That said it all to me. If Beyonce felt that what Kanye did was wrong - she would have said so. And since Jay Z, her husband, was working with Kayne - there was no way he was going to come out and 'dis him.

Kayne, Jay Z and Beyonce - that was and is classless. What impressed me was that Taylor Swift had to do a LIVE performance after this most embarrasing moment. She is only 17 and I give her HUGE props for her professionalism. Maybe Taylor Swift can teach these three clowns some professionalism.

Beyonce's actual comments don't sound like she's truly defending Kanye for the "incident". Her thoughts at the moment were "oh, no, oh no!"......­maybe it's more an effort to be diplomatic by suggesting he had some kind of mature or professional motive; not as lame as Kanye's move.....b­ut close.

So Beyonce thinks imitating a Bob Fosse dance from the 60's is more artistic than a girl who actually writes and performs her own music. Just because you (and I) don't like country music doesn't mean it's not as artistic as canned pop performances. Art is subjective and there are a lot of people who don't feel autotuning all your songs is artistic. Where's the talent in that? And I'm a fan of Kanye's music but that was awful and Beyonce's comments are awful but I really didn't expect more from these self absorbed asses.
