My parents in Arizona had a neighbor whose dog, a chihuahua, barked all day long at nothing. The dog, after years of barking finally lost his voice. It sounded like an old woman that had smoked 3 packs a day. The dog was crazy and the owners were to blame for letting it get to that lenght.
I think yapping is not the right term for the dog in the picture. Growling is a better fit. This is not a Yorkie.
I'm not usually for this type of thing where cities tell people what they can and cannot do, but in this instance? I'm willin to give it a pass. People who leave their dogs out at night annoy me.
Isn't there enough heartbreak and suffering in the world without putting your dog in solitary confinement in the backyard? Really, people. If you're going to have a pet, let it be part of your life.
Good ordinance. I hope they'll bring this in Frisco as well.
