What's Your Reaction?
Obama

Time:

There was never a single moment when White House staff decided the major media outlets were falling down on the job. There were instead several such moments.

For press secretary Robert Gibbs, the realization came in early September, when the New York Times ran a front-page story about the bubbling parental outrage over President Obama's plan to address schoolchildren -- even though the benign contents of the speech were not yet public. "You had to be like, 'Wait a minute,'" says Gibbs. "This thing has become a three-ring circus."

"It's Opinion Journalism Masquerading as News"

Then what are you worried about then? The left telegraphs who they fear loud and clear....loud and clear.

Thank You Ms Dunn...
The time has come to call them out. They are not a bona-fide news organization and the entire Journalism community is suffering!

Ratings for Fox will soar because of the crybabies in the White House. How silly they are.

The memos that come down from Roger Ailes everyday, along with the threats, speak volumes about the politicization of FAUX OPINION "news".

This is long overdue. How can we stand by as a society and let the media put on a circus every day and expect to get important things done for the country? When the media act like irresponsible buffoons and recreate a “train wreck” on every possible issue someone needs to put those responsible down and call them out for accountability.. The hysteria and hyperbole is taking all of the air out of the room for important issues. If the media does not act like a media should, then Obama simply must do everything he can with 51 senate votes for the good of the country and let the media play in their pathological sand box, with each other.

Well sometimes they do tell news, about 10% of the time depending on the show. But for the most part
NOISE is what comes out of that blowhard station.

Everyone is yelling. Everyone is MAD! Everyone is Upset!

Tell the lie long enough over and over and the masses start to believe it.

They must remove the spinning (lying) Fox News logo from the bottom left side of the screen during their OPINION screeds - just for starters

Why are they permitted to mislabel the content (product)?

Anita Dunn, you have hit the nail right on its head, Fox News IS opinion masquerading as journalism.

The bigger problem is that most news sources (left, right, and center) are "journalism" masquerading as Journalism. You can point the finger at corporate-owned media all you want but ultimately, as Pogo once noted so eloquently (you do remember Pogo) the enemy is us.

2nd time around...

'dancing without a net upon the wire'

when we reach the point as a world where we can discuss anything...
and we can come from almost any walk of life...
and still be permitted to do so...
here on the wire...
not the telephone wire...
not the circus wire...
the media wire...
here on the internet...

we will begin to feel that we can be heard...

I've learned so much from so many people
in
This Dance.

'dancin' at the zombie ZOO.'

I agree with the substance of what Dunn says and her approach to countering the lies and distortions. Where she and I part company is when she says "It's opinion journalism masquerading as news."

Actually, it's "opinion masquerading as journalism and hoping to be picked up as news."

opinion journalism is an oxymoron - either it's opinion or journalism they're mutually exclusive.
She's guilty of using imprecise language to describe the problem. She totally gets the problem, but she fumbled the description.

You go girl! Keep telling it like it is, and pushing back on Fox. Fox isn't news it is nonsense plain and simple.
