Mickey Rourke

tmz.com:

Mickey randomly went on an expletive filled diatribe the other night in NYC, saying his much criticized use of the word last November had "nothing to do with gay" and explained, "punkass ... f**got .... it's the same thing, understand?"

Now, I'm even more glad that Sean Penn won the Best Actor Oscar this year.
11:20 PM on 10/11/2009
Me too. I thought Mickey should have won, but now I am glad Sean Penn won. I am so disappointed to find out that he is just a cheap bigot.

Mickey is a man's man. Mickey is Mickey and he don't give a sh***t what people think about him, and that's why I love the guy. He says all types of politically incorrect sh***t and I betcha a lot of people are in his corner.
Of course, the Hollyweird types will side with the G&L group, but secretly they're probably patting him on the back.
What he said is nothing that other people aren't saying privately.

Yeah, it’s great to have a homophobic alcoholic bigot as a role model? People used to write in taking Norman Lear for allowing Archie Bunker to articulate the rage of the blue collar white bigot, never getting the joke was on them.

He's been an arrogant pr*ck as long as he's been Mickey Rourke. This should be considered status quo, not news.

Mickey stands up for the First Amendment with the juevos of Lenny Bruce. There's more important things in life than being the most popular actor. Just ask Nicholas Cage.

He's gross. I'm still shock at what he has done to himself. He looks like he takes steroids. I just don't find him attractive. He looks like he is always dirty. But he is a good actor, and "The Wrestler" was the perfect part for him.

I remember seeing Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts in The Pope of Greenwich Village and thinking, "These guys have huge careers ahead of them." I don't know about Roberts, but Rourke has definitely got his dial set on "self-destruct." He lost everything--his money, looks, reputation, relationships and his career. Then he got an incredible gift - a second chance. You would think he would be grateful and gracious. But no, not only does he use offensive words, he defends them...stupidly. Sadly, I'm afraid he will soon throw away his second chance, too.
