I think he deserved this award so far, whole world became more optimistic after his election and couple of international visits...

""Obama Haters Please Note:
If Obama walks on water to today, they will say it was a mistake. They will foolishly revise science to to show that every body can walk on the water.(Like they are revising the very Holy word of God, the Bible to suit their silly ways)""

WHOA!!! For real? are you seriously comparing Obama to Jesus Christ? How far will you go? Lets not forget the scriptures here "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

You have been deceived.

On another note, I PLAN on inventing a perpetual energy motor. Can I just collect on my Nobel prize now? Before I am labeled as a republican, let me assure you, I find the republicans just as appalling. Obama is the worst thing to happen to this country since George W. Bush. I am equal and fair in my hatred for those who disdain and destroy the Constitution. If John McCain won the election, we would be in a different crap hole than we are now, but we would still be in one. We would be approaching fascism instead of socialism. Can't we all just unite under the constitution instead of a man who we raise to be the savior himself? WAKE UP, this nobel prize was a farce.

The recognition of president Obama by the Norwegian Nobel Committee has been a great honor. The honor has been for the Committee.

What’s the merit in recognizing the value of something after everybody else has? What consequence, if any, has to recognize a great achievement if its self evident? – This recognition has allowed the Nobel Committee a chance to actually influence the future – this is an honor that they have given themselves.

it’s not too early for president Obama’s actions to make a difference. It it’s just too early for the most people to see it.

Those who say that nothing has been accomplished don’t understand what motivates violence. Lack of hope creates violence.

Words DO matter. Words can give you hope. A precise word, at the precise moment said by the precise person can prevent a war. President Obama is such a person.

We all have a responsibility in creating an environment for either violence or peace. Glenn Beck may not understand this. The Nobel Committee does and decided to take a stand for it. This may make them actually relevant in shaping the future rather than just commemorating the past.

In my understanding, President Obama has prevented violence by his actions and that he has already made this a better world.

President Obama doesn’t need a Nobel Prize. The world needs president Obama.

Hope gives peace a chance!

God bless President Obama and God bless these United States of America.

I just don't understand how intelligent people can listen to, much less agree with, these guys.

The GOP are giving me KanYe West flashbacks. Can't anyone just graciously congratulate another anymore?

The most bizarre is the Fox News commentators statement that Obama withheld troops so he could win the Prize. So, the President has psychic powers! The most offensive comment was the "affirmative action" one. After all, there's no way a black man could possibly DESERVE to win. If Yasser Arafat's award de-legitimatized the Prize, what did Kissinger's win do?

So, are we to accept that the Nobel committee doesn't understand the Nobel prize, but rather that the wingnuts are a better judge of excellence?

They're also better at war, counterterrorism, reading random phrases from the Constitution and the Bible, and driving in circles looking for the nearest Piggly Wiggly because they're too bleeping arrogant to stop and ask for directions.

These are those who do not like to see Obama looking good, even when he earns it. When he won the White House, he was the first black man to do so. When he won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, he became the the first president to do so in the first 9 months of presidency and for doing "nothing". He joined the four out of 44 US presidents to achieve this. The rest of the 40 did not win this distinction for doing something or nothing or anything. Yet history ticks on. If Obama does all things in the haters' "earn it" list, they will still find fault with him. This is how they've decided to live, TWISTED. What do you do to such brood of vipers? They call themselves GOP (what does this mean-geriatric opposition people?). They call good evil and they live right here in America. Their mindset belongs to our past. Obama is clearly a great man, except to these who choose to ignore history, live in hate and denial.

I don't know why these comments are being called outrageous. The people who made them have let us know that they are the most patriotic versions of Americans, therefore everything they say is patriotic and if we disagree with them we're unpatriotic. I also like to get tips on how to be a good Christian from them. Because they've told me they're ambassadors of morality as well, and I have no reason to doubt that.

Maybe next week Obama will win the Heismann Trophy or the Purple Heart or the Metal of Honor or all three. He could have been a football player or in the military.

I heard on the radio last night that the Pope Canonized 5 new Saints and Obama was one of them. He totally deserves it. :)
