How to:Defeat the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan
What if, Pharmaceutical Company’s buy Afghanistan’s poppy harvest to make organic pain medication. Two birds with one stone,
#1 it will pay the growers a living wage for their harvest and
#2 it will dry up the main source of revenue for the Taliban, who support and protect al Qaeda. Yes I know you think I’m crazy but it could work.

this story is outdated already. Obama wants peace with the Taliban. Now let's see if the Taliban is serious about peace and change or is this just talk. hopefully they can put down the guns, suicide killings and road bombs and argue as immature kids like Democrats and GOP here in the US.

There has never been peace in Afghanistan for many reasons, Obama being the least, The culprits are war lords, drug dealers, ethnic tribes, religious fanatics and occupiers. The reality is, there is no Afghanistan, certainly not at peace.

I, for one, have not given up
on him earning his place in history
but trust and patience is running thin...

Carousel

Earth spins on an axis of horses
transformed into clouds on the wind
hearts pounding and screaming in voices
that tremble in terror and pain.

as the animals cry
as our carousel dies
it turns on its side
it rolls and it flips
the calliope tilts
the music dissolves
in chattels of gold
in pieces and parts
as riders fly off
as dust drifts aloft
it trembles and sparks
it grinds to a halt…

Peace rests on an axis of trust
transformed into clouds on the wind
dues pounding and screaming in voices
the audacity of hope never paid.

It is not as if the Taliban is in a position to judge. Or even to talk!

Of course the Taliban condems peace and so does the republican party. Why do you side with the terrorists Republicans, why do you hate America so. Either you are with the terrorists or you are with us, make your choice.
_________________________________________________-
Obama's election and foreign policy moves caused a dramatic improvement in the image of the U.S. around the world. A 25-nation poll of 27,000 people released in July by the Pew Global Attitudes Project found double-digit boosts to the percentage of people viewing the U.S. favorably in countries around the world. That indicator had plunged across the world under President George W. Bush.

The Nobel committee praised Obama's creation of "a new climate in international politics" and said he had returned multilateral diplomacy and institutions like the U.N. to the center of the world stage.

"You have to remember that the world has been in a pretty dangerous phase," Jagland said. "And anybody who can contribute to getting the world out of this situation deserves a Nobel Peace Prize."

I fyou want to know if something is good, or in this case deserved, look at who comes out against it. I figure that if the Taliban, Al Queda, the Republican, Conservative Wingnuts are against the President' being presented with the Nobel Peace Prize - it must be right that he got it.
