Homeowners Facing Foreclosure Can't Find Lawyers

WASHINGTON -- The nation's foreclosure crisis has swamped lawyers for the poor, leaving thousands of low-income homeowners across the country without legal assistance that could save their homes.

Legal offices providing help to the poor are turning away many who have been hit hard by the economy, according to lawyers in cities across the country who were interviewed by USA TODAY.

Tell them to call Beck and Co. or Limbaugh and Co. Oh, and don't forget, the Hannity and O'Reilly Group of Companies. They seem to have a theory and an answer to everything. Maybe they can solve this one or point them to a conspiracy theory that explains a shortage. Maybe the lawyers went to Mars or got smashed into the moon when NASA crushed it recently. I'm sure these guys have the answer. If not, they're rich and are always willing to help. Try them and leave the politicians alone for a change.

I too have a problem with Wells Fargo. The latest is they have stopped sending statements which scares me. I have sent them proof of payment's on their stated balance. They don't correspond. I don't trust them and am afraid they will foreclose on a 500 dollar balance.

Foreclosur­es..caused by the philosophy that owning a home is a right..NO it's not..if you can't afford it.Why doesn't Congress pass a law that mortgage payments cannot be above 30% of monthly pay, you must put 20% down..then everyone will be in a home they can afford..or they will be renters..h­ouses will appreciate at a normal pace..and we won't have what happened last fall.Simpl­e and it doesn't require any taxpayer money.

GEE - MAYBE WHY THEY CAN't FIND LAWERS IS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL CHASING AMBULANCES, OR TIED UP WITH TORT CASES. NEOCONS ARE SAYING THAT IS WHERE ALL THE LAWYERS ARE LOCATED - IN COURT.
