Wesley Snipes Ponzi Scheme

nypost.com:

Wesley Snipes can't seem to get anything right when it comes to his personal finances.

The notorious star of the hit "Blade" trilogy found a new kind of fame last year when he was sentenced to three years in jail for trying to fraudulently obtain $11.4 million of tax refunds between 1999 and 2001. He was also nabbed for willfully failing to file tax returns.

And now a court case in Britain has revealed that Snipes may have lost millions of dollars during that same period in an alleged Ponzi scheme.

My Mom and Dad always used to express it in such a simple way: "if you do the right thing, everything will come out right; and if you don't, then don't expect to come out as a winner." Dad was always warning us about the Karmic Wheel. "The Karmic Law will come back to get you!"
I guess either Wesley's folks did not teach him this simple truth, or he had no one to teach him or he was just not listening!
Of course, the jails are filled with folks who were given proper lessons and instructions and excellent advice and they thought that they were smarter than their teachers. parents and well-meaning mentors. I have a relative who was a smart-aleck from birth, and he thought he was smarter than his folks..hmm well he is suffering from the Karmic Wheel's retribution!
Peace!

This guy can't catch a break. Snipes better be working out extra hard while he's in the can, cuz he's gonna need Blade 4 and 5 when he gets out of prison.

This is great for his tax evasion case. He should be able to claim these losses and with the exchange rate what it is, the government will probably owe him money.

Uh, why isn't Geitner in jail with at least 30 others who still have their jobs after destroying the country with their greed? Things will not get right until those responsible have been brought to justice. To think otherwise is naive because as you can see NOTHING has changed.

When I read the article about Nicholas Cage owing $6 million, my first thought was now they are going to drag Wesley Snipes @ss out to make Wesley look more villianous and divert the attention from Nicholas Cage.

This was also done when Chris Brown's domestic abuse case - the media rushed to question a certain actor about Chris Brown's case because they needed his response, any response, so his previous mug shot for domestic abuse against his wife could be news worthy.

This is just America's newest blood sport.

I agree but you guys should know by now that'll never change.. it's been that way since Jack Johnson's day. We're just naturally newsworthy folk.
But check it out. I started liking Wesley around the time he did New Jack City.. I liked the movie. I thought his co-star Allen Payne did alot for Wesley's character but Wesley never credited Payne in any of the interviews that followed.
I recall the Today Show interviewing Wesley about New Jack City and all he could say was'' it's all about the money''.
I think it was Diane Sawyer who continued pressing for an artistic assessment, any future endevors and so on and Wesley's reply was still ''it's all about the money''.
I liked Wesley but still remember the disappointed I felt from his response. I guess I just expected more from a guy with his talent.
And then there was the rumor regarding him mugging Halle Berry and messing up her ear. I hated hearing that but I wasn't too surprised either eventhoe I still resevere judgement not knowing what really went down but if it's true.. karma's well deserved.

How can people be so damn greedy? He's so greedy that he'd rather spend 3 years in jail than pay taxes. Fate got him with the ponzi scheme, and it appears he got what he deserved.

Ironic how he doesn't want to pay taxes in the country that gave him all of his opportunities so others can have access, but he's willing to take that same money and give to a Ponzi shiester. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
