When you are an older man i find it odd to sire kids. You won't be around to train them.

I find it somewhat selfish but who am i to judge?

Why not adopt? There are so many kids that need adoption!

I miss you in 3's company!

Bring back Arrested Development!!!

Tambor's comedic performance on Arrested Development was beautifully nuanced and really above and beyond. Whoever was writing those jailhouse scenes was really on point.

Why hasn't anyone come up with a comedic vehicle for Tambor since Arrested? Did he seriously go back to waiting for his agent to call? I don't ask this as an insult to him, but as a wake up call to Hollywood. Put this man back inside my TV screen! He's money!

He's 65 now, is that right? Even at 61-62, he was a little long in the tooth to be starting a whole new family, no? Maybe these much much younger wives should consider this before they latch onto a rich OLD MAN and think it's cool to make babies with them....

Merely stating an OPINION... why, what's (my opinion) to YOU?

Goodness, he looks older. He's gonna be fine. His children will at least live a full teen aged life....and hopefully he'll be a grandfather some day.

If this were a woman his age bringing twins into the world, there would be a thousand posts declaring what a bad choice it is and how wrong it is...but let a man do it and it's nothing but cigars and back slaps.

He's going to be 75 years old when his middle school age boys want to go outside and play football with him. And he'll be 85 when he sees them graduate from college.

To each his own...but I just wonder if he thinks about these things. It's kind of nice thinking about living my twilight years not having to worry about phone calls from my middle school aged children's teachers, or being in my 70's and getting up in the middle of the night with a child who is vomiting from the flu.

I realize that I could get hit by a bus tomorrow, but most likely I won't. Most likely I'll be around to see my grandchildren and to be here for my children as they grow into adulthood. I guess that's just me.

I hear ya! I was 19 when I had my first kid... (I was married too), and my eldest made me a grandmother at 43 (Son was 24)... I'm 53 and have two grandkids now. I was a great mom to my 3 kids. I was young, active, FUN, "hip" to the trends and fads as they grew up and a 2nd mom-friend to many of their friends (who had much older parents).
I'm enjoying my 50's with grandkids (who go home at the end of the day) and alone time with my hubs. I wouldn't have done it any other way. I just don't get how these moms decided to start their families when in their late 30's or even into their mid-40's. And dads having kids after 55-60?? Dang!
I don't think they consider the children at all.... only themselves.

I knew you seemed to have wisdom of the 2nd dynamic.

There is such a double standard when it comes to people becoming parents late in life. Women are castigated as "selfish," but when it comes to the men, it's wink, wink, what a guy!

The fact is that it's an act of supreme selfishness on the part of both genders, but it's an especially obnoxious form of preening for the men. When they can no longer maintain the illusion that they are young and hip with the dyed hair, Corvette convertible, and daughter (or granddaughter!) aged girlfriend/wife, they go for the new baby.

No, they obviously don't consider the child's well being. You are right. It's all about THEM.

Bless him, wow. I'm 20 years younger and the idea of having wee little kids around who don't go home to their mothers at some point ...ugh.
