Obamas Dance Onstage With Jennifer Lopez At The "Fiesta Latina" (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Now this is great TV! As part of their ongoing series of parties and events at the White House, the Obamas hosted a Latin music celebration (or, "Fiesta Latina") on Tuesday night. The performers included Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Jose Feliciano, Los Lobos, the New York bachata band Aventura, the Mexican singer Thalia, among others. In the video below, the Obama family is onstage and dancing -- Michelle with Malia, and Barack with Sasha -- and Jennifer Lopez, wearing gold, is swaying just behind them.

Thank you for your persistence Deborah, I admire it. I think PA and those like her who foam at the mouth over Michelle Obama were Hillary supporters who heard that First Lady Obama had counseled her husband not to ask Hillary Clinton to be his Vice President. Unfortunately these self proclaimed PUMAs (the ones left) are holding on to their anger and resentment. They don't seem to understand that they are not doing the cause of feminism any good...or maybe they don't care. Again, thank you and your are definitely a favorite of mine.

Now everyone can talk and agree/disagree without having to wade through a novel from PA and her minions (Tiessa, et al. how you be??) before being able to post. Watch now - Tiessa will ignore the agree/disagree part of my post and whine that I'm picking on her.

I read here where she ignored the poster who told her that she (Tiessa) admitted that she had not read PA's most vicious posts, so she doubted that she made them. I don't believe her. I think Tiessa saw them like everyone else saw them. She just now has to pretend that she didn't so she can attempt to justify her support for PA. And yes, Tiessa, it is support. Quit trying to pretend that you are just standing up for PA's right to her opinion.

I wrote I hadn't read the posts they were discussing. There wasn't anything to reply to in the posters reply to that. She had her say, I had mine. I don't know what else you want me to say. You're not going to believe me anyway so...who cares?

Read my posts. Some of the remarks PA made I agree with. Some I didn't. If I didn't, I usually didn't reply because you all were doing such a good job at lambasting her. Why had my humble opinion? The recent ones in question I never saw. If she made them, they were out of line. I still don't know if she made them or not. You saying she did means nothing to me.

I don't know what your point is. Few on here have an opinion that is unique to them.

I do look forward to a post by you that doesn't include calling someone a name, though. Betcha can't do it!

...and finally, I guarantee that HuffPost didn't ban PA because a few folks complained about her/him....PA was banned because the posts sounded deranged and she/he had become increasingly unhinged regarding the President and Mrs. Obama. While Michelle woos the latinos in DC, letters from Veterans spouses seeking better health care and a VA hospital for the thousands of veterans in South Texas go unanswered. The area is predominately Mexican-American that are proud and always answer the call for duty when needed. Spouses thought that maybe she could help. Her husband promised help during the campaign three times. But he won so now not even letters are answered. Her comments at the ALMA awards on behalf of the military left out completely the plight of the veteran. Our government forgets the soldier when he becomes a civilian, a veteran. What a shame! Dance away Michelle..

treto- there was another poster here, I hope it wasn't you under a different I.D. ....Two of my nephews are career military, they are in Iraq, they have families..nobody gets their plight better than my family...However, it is my sincere belief that Ms Obama has been discouraged from entering the fray of veteran's affairs. It is a political minefield.. Many professional people are working on these issues, if you are concerned, write your congressman. My dh was a Marine Corps. officer. We are a proud military family.You need to bear in mind the the Armed Services are now totally volunteer, and have provided great opportunities for many special men and women. What could Mrs. O do ? Give a speech ? She cannot enact law, you are barking up the wrong tree.

I share your feelings. I counted 32 posts from PA on just one page. It was like he/she/it had gone viral or lost his/her/its mind, and each post was nastier than the one before. It seemed to have gone on for several hours, because I went to cook and eat dinner and came back and the pink bunny was still going, and going and going, and getting more and more vicious.

Then he/she/it started involving the children and posting falsehoods about the family's personal life. It was time for it to go.

I have to admit, I did my part before I went to bed.

Glad to wake up to relief. Good job, to whoever or whatever took place overnight!

We thank God he has given us the wisdom to throw away all our old negative thoughts of other races and homosexuality. My husband is 78 and I'm 68. Figure it out. We were raised to hate but never knew why. Both of us overcame it a LONG time ago.
We love both of the Obamas. Their kids are precious. Like so many, once again we are proud to be Americans. We see hope for the future. bushco left us feeling very depressed.
After health care is passed, it's time to work on legalizing all rights for homosexuals. Our cousin has been with the same partner for 40+ years. They got married when it was legalized in CA.
Married 43 years and I still know a good looking hunk when I see one. I go home with hubby. Obama will always go home with Michelle.
Look at their eyes! They adore each other.

My idea of cro ssing the line, along with a lot of others, is when you involve inn ocent children in a si ck ening fantasy of "interrupting" their father in an act of se xual inter course with someone who is not his wife and their mother. Is that clear enough for you? That is what PA did, and therefore she/he/it is gone, at least for now. I honestly don't care if you agree with me or not on things. WHO said "he wasn't black enough?" There are only 2 names mentioned in the above post. PA and mine. I've NEVER said such a thing. There ain't no "they" on that one.

dct1999, I was trying to reply to an earlier post of yours regarding the video:

You need to look at the tape again then, 'cause there isn't even a "MAY" of ignoring there. First off, notice the time elapsed between the time he goes back to the table and the time the cameras are back on him...in that mean time the camera shows Thalia dancing away back to the stage....when it cues back to Obama, he's talking to someone behind or beside him, more like behind the FL, and of course she's back clapping and enjoying the music...NOT ignoring him. Missing are the first seconds as soon as he sat down and probably got a big tease from his wife for his dancing, if at all, but definitely NOT and "ignoring".
You're just feeding the l00natic Am.azon if you even minimally agree with her willful misinterpretation of the video.

I understand you and agree. We must continually pray for this president and his family. Many of us didn't LIKE Bush ( he was simply not intelligent enough to be president!), but we didn't HATE him or wish him harm. On the other hand, Hannity/Beck/Limbaugh,etc.
