POLITICO:

For Republicans looking forward to the first Bush-free election in a decade, the book publishing schedule is the bearer of bad news: Between New Year's Day and next November, as many as five Bush administration officials -- including the former president himself -- will rehash history in hardback.

The literary luge ride down memory lane shoves off with a return to the economic collapse via former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson's "On the Brink: Inside the Race to Stop the Collapse of the Global Financial System," due out from Business Plus in January.

Imagine if you had to make a choice between reading George Bush's book or Sarah Palin's book.

Let's hope that the timing of the release will have a suitably devastating effect on the ReapUglyCon candidates, sweeping most of them from office.

Originally the book was to be titled 'Larry, Mo and George' but they thought it sounded a bit too intellectual.

Dubya's book will sit in honor next to Going Rogue in my library - unread until I'm really, really bored.

Word of warning: you'll be even really really more bored when you read it. The guy has nothing to say and takes a lot of paper to say it.

Will these be categorized as Fiction or Non-Fiction?

Bush is not as dumb as we Libs said. He wants 1) to sell books, and election season's the best time to do it; and 2) he may well want to stick it to the party, the entire party, for reducing his presence in the 2008 convention to a little video screen.

Additionally, he probably likes a lot of what he sees in Obama's moderate views and steady hand, know that his predecessors, after all, more centrist than lefty. Bush may well be more centrist than right as he weans from active political life... The neocons and Cheney may well have pushed him further right than he would otherwise have been.

lets hope he learned something from his disasterous mistakes. It would be pathetic to continue to try to assume he did it right.

Correction: I garbled a sentence there.. I meant to say Bush is followed by an Obama who is more centrist than lefty... not the garbled mess I accidentally wrote:

"Obama's moderate views and steady hand, know that his predecessors, after all, more centrist than lefty."

He just wants to "replenish the old coffers," as he's said before. As for being "not as dumb" as we think he is, since most of us think he has an IQ of the average individual planaria, yeah, he's probably not *quite* that dumb. However, he has the intellectual capacity of an only slightly more evolved life-form.

I don't think the man's ever had a centrist view. Or even a thought. I think he's a self-serving, amoral, glad-handing huckster with no ethics, morals, heft, or ideas worth listening to. His governorship of Texas should have made his political positions quite clear. He is a sad little man still fighting with ghosts of his father and his childhood. A stunted, twisted creature who never quite grew up or learned to handle anything.

In which section will it be, in humor or true crime?

Given that there's nothing "true" about the wretch, I'll cast my vote for humour or fiction.
