Michael Steele "Cow On The Tracks" Trying To Stop Reform Train (VIDEO)

Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele, asked on Thursday whether his party would have to jump on the health care reform "train", responded that he was a cow on the tracks trying to stop it.

The strange analogy came at the end of a Fox News exchange in which Steele denied that Republicans were giving in on reform.

"The feeling in some circles is that this health care train has left the station with the president at the wheel, and Republicans better jump on board," the host said.

"Well I'm the cow on the tracks," Steele responded, as his interviewer laughed. "You're gonna have to stop the train to get this cow off the track to move forward."

Dear Mr. Steele,

Just in case you had not noticed it, you are not in the Senate or the House. Therefore, under our political system, you do not have a vote on this matter.

You obviously don't know this but in the USA, many, it not all, trains have cow catchers on them and they are not there to save the cow.

Now cows have many good things going for them in that some produce milk and others meat. They also have a lot of bad things going against them.

1. They are usually surrounded by disease carrying flies or other pesky bugs - lots of them.
2. They smell up the place - and the closer you get to them, the worse they smell.
3. They are full of gas.

Wow! what a wonderful analogy for yourself and the party you represent.

Oh! - by the way, Mr? Steele; a cow is female - h'mmm!!

I ask this for an honest response. Is anyone else just completely fed up with the way politicians have been acting lately. Is this a new thing? To be so divided amongst each other that we can't come to a consensus on what is best for the country. Obviously our health care system is in shambles, to deny that is just plain cynical. Even in the face of reform the Ins. Co. still threatens to raise it's prices. Now if we are all free market capitalist like they claim, then why wouldn't we embrace competition amongst the market regardless of where it is coming from. Maybe I'm just young and naive, but shouldn't decisions be based on logic and fiscal responsibility? Why are people fighting so hard against their own interests. I certainly don't like or trust politicians, but the same can be said for Corporatist.
The American political mentality is becoming lost to me, as if we are now drawing lines in the sand and saying choose a side. This seems very illogical in such a diverse nation.
