Iran Bomb

The Guardian:

Iran's Revolutionary Guards today vowed to take revenge after blaming Britain and the US for a suicide bombing that killed six of its commanders and 37 others in one of the country's most unstable provinces.

The attack, which killed the deputy commander of the guard's ground forces, General Noor Ali Shooshtari, and Rajab Ali Mohammadzadeh, the provincial commander for Sistan-Baluchistan, inflicted Iran's worst military casualties in years and raised questions of intelligence and security failures in a region long blighted by a violent Sunni insurgency.

Iran ought to come clean as to their part in bringing down Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie.

That was clearly revenge for the downing of an Iranian airliner by the US.

Yes, Libyans may have done the deed but that's because Iran jobbed it out to them.

If you're going to level a serious charge like that you might want to provide at least a link.

Interesting to see the posts in this thread. After everything we have learned about covert ops in the past 100 years, people still doubt that the CIA would meddle in internal affairs of a sovereign nation ?
Our foreign policy is pretty straight forward
Trade on our terms and we back you else we back the opposition.
Obama has toned down the public rhetoric however if you think the State department is sitting on their hands with respect to Iran......
Of course Iran was meddling in Iraq as well so they can stop complaining. That's just how that game is played.

Interesting that Iran can inluence Iraq that easily, with a jagged mountainous border between the two countries, 150,000 American troops and 150,000 private security contractors on the job. Guess the Iranians are better business people...

Even Iran isn't blaming Israel on this one. You might want to watch the anti-semitism.

Do you really expect me to believe that global warming isn’t implicated in this at all?

So what if the USA did have their hand dirty in this , the CIA have been doing this for years in Iran .

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:36 AM on 10/19/2009

Looks like the so called "anti war" liberals have become the new neocons. You people are easily manipulated by the Military Industrial Complex. Of course the USA was behind it, they have been funneling millions of your tax dollars to this Jundullah group since Bush gave the OK for the CIA to conduct covert ops in Iran (Which Obama is now continuing). In fact the leader of Jundullah is on tape saying to that he is receiving money and assistance from the US (if that isn't enough to convince you dunces, nothing will). This is already admitted in western MSM, but alas facts mean nothing to you people.

USA where truth is unwanted and propaganda rules.

It's sad that people believe what they see on TV or read in the news.

Most of the posters here stress the following points:

- Baluchi Sunnis (or Iraqi Shi'ites, or...well fill in the blank) are too stupid to act without the express orders of their CIA, MI6 or Mossad paymasters.
-The killing of top Revolutionary Guard commanders is a horrible terrorist crime meant to destabilize the honorable regime of Ayatollah Khameini and Ahmadinejad (an act on a par with bombing children at a market in Iraq)

There are far too many posters parroting US propaganda about Iran. The recent election had an overwhelming vote for Ahmadinejad, even tho the opposition was instigated and funded by the US and Britain. This recent attack will harden Iran's resolve to be less dependent on the western world. It will also increase the chance of an attack on western counterparts in the military of the US and Britain. Now there are reports of a Jundullah commander saying that orders and funds for their operations are coming directly from the US. This has the possibility of turning into something ugly. Pleas don't fan the flames of another war.

How did you get that from my post.? When was the last time the US government told the US public anything about the middle east that was the absolute truth? When was the last time the US gov told the truth about the two wars? All I said was wake up and don't be part of the lemmings who start wars of aggression. If you got anything else from my message, maybe it is you who is on another planet.

The massive street protests against the stolen elections in IRI merit our support, not the slander that somehow they were CIA induced. You nothing of the Iranian people or of how the CIA works. If you really think that we'll achieve peace by ignoring the crimes of IRI and parroting 'it was the CIA' as an excuse for analysis, try again.

Yeah? Well I blame Suzi Finkelstein, my junior high sweetheart, for my inability to have a healthy relationship with a woman. I also blame Suzi for the failure of each and every on of my six marriages.

My drinking, drugging, carousing around, kinky fetishes, gambling, smoking, unemployment, thievery (it's hard to have a relationship when you are in the slammer) and general lack of even the slightest hint of emotional maturity had and have nothing to do with my failure with women. It's all Suzi's fault.

Suzi, if you are reading this I hope you are pleased with yourself.

Also, Suzi, if you are reading this you are not the Suzi to which I am referring.

Thats because Iran's govt considers global public opinion toward hating the US and its allies, to be paramount to its agenda, over and above actually dealing with any home grown terrorist groups.
