Palin

Sarah Palin has joined LinkedIn. And guess what? She's interested in "job inquiries."

The former Alaska governor has posted her resume on the professional social-networking web site LinkedIn. The service boasts over 45 million users who connect and refer colleagues. Instead of using the Facebook term "friends," LinkedIn users have "connections." Palin had over 500 connections as of Saturday evening.

The URL for Palin's LinkedIn profile uses "/governorpalin" despite the fact that Palin resigned from her job as Alaska's governor in July 2009.

The University of Idaho is the sole education entry on Palin's LinkedIn profile. She does not list the four other institutions she attended before earning her degree.

The former governor is no stranger to social networking. Before and after resigning, Palin posted lengthy messages on her Facebook page. Palin posted a message slamming President Barack Obama over the Afghan War just a couple weeks ago.

She has over 929,000 Facebook supporters.

Politico has hypothesized that Palin's use of Facebook might have something to do with her resources:

To some degree, Palin's strategy may be driven by necessity. The former governor has operated with a skeleton crew since leaving the governor's office, with a team consisting of only a handful of staffers employed by her political action committee located in Virginia.

Sarah Palin's popularity took a dive recently. Her memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life" will be released November 17.

Dear Sarah, I understand you are in between positions at this time.I could offer you a temporary
job if you are interested.Your education shouldn't be to much of a hurdle as I can give you longer breaks
to work on your vocabulary.
We have a small hobby kennel where breed and show dogs.Your duties would be to make sure they have fresh water in clean buckets twice daily. It would help if you can wield a pooper scooper with either hand.I'm sorry that there no helicopters or rifles involved and if you complain when one of the males
pees on your leg,you will be fired on the spot.

Hey Sarah, I understand there is an opening for a coatcheck girl at the Holiday Inn. No offence to the coatcheck girls of the world intended.

Do we know if Sarah Palin actually posted on Linkedin? Unless the comma is a typo and should be a colon, it would appear to be a spoof:

"Sarah Palin’s Specialties:
Attacking "business as usual," Oil Companies, Good Old Boy Networks, Government waste, Earmarks, and Pork Barrels. Strong experience within the Executive Branch of Government."

Maybe should be: "Sarah Palin’s Specialties:
Attacking "business as usual": Oil Companies, Good Old Boy Networks, Government waste, Earmarks, and Pork Barrels. Strong experience within the Executive Branch of Government.

She had a high profile job, with two years remaining, and now she's looking for another?
This lady is too impulsive in her decisions. not the kind of person fit to be a President.

Misleading headline. Profile was on linkedin during campaign. Many politicians have profiles. So do celebrities. Put up by campaign staff. There are several boxes one can check for "interested in", including job inquiries, career opportunities, business deals, getting back in touch and references. Interest in "Job inquiries" means if you're looking for a job you can contact this member. Interest in "career Opportunities" means the member is looking for a job.

Palin's career and the saga of the Balloon Boy seem to have a lot in common.

None of the adults involved seem capable of telling the truth, the whole truth....nothing but...the truth

The kids were used by the adults as pawns

The MSM ate both stories right up.

Both families seem to crave being in front of a camera.

Balloon boy hid in the attic, Palin's association with the secessionist party in Alaska, well, she'd like to KEEP that hidden in the attic

Both have now crashed. Fortunately no one got hurt, or elected.

Palin intellectually superior to Obama—really? After graduating from Wasilla High School (cited in a Johns Hopkins’ study as a perennial "dropout factory”), Palin attended 5 no-name colleges in 6 years to finally get a 4 year degree in mass communications (such a rigorous and exacting discipline). During her 6 year higher education odyssey, one of the schools she transferred to was Matanuska Susitna Community College (no doubt a breeding ground for Rhode Scholars), where she attended for only 1 semester on a beauty pageant scholarship. While Palin “the quitter” may be short on scholarly achievement, she far out-paces Obama when it comes to filling out college applications and attending unranked institutions of higher learning. Eight years of Bush taught me that the president should be intelligent, articulate, capable of grasping several complex concepts simultaneously, insightful and able to comprehend the written word from left to right, skills Sarah Palin will never possess.

She should. Someone would hire her because all the publicity she has received since her time as governor (doesn't matter if she did quit), VP candidate, on SNL, etc. She'll get hired just because of who she is, but you and I and everyone else, get in line with the competition and we better have some outstanding skills. Our skills are more outstanding than S.Ps.

Not sure; I would guess that this might be a one-off account that's worth Linked-In's trouble to do a little fact checking on, if only after the fact.

I like the three definitions of "going rogue" in the Urban Dictionary. All seem somewhat appropriate to Palin's book.

By the way, Amazon has her book marked down from $28.99 to $9.00. It will be released (or "let loose") on November 17.

I hope everyone can help make sure she gets the nomination in 2012. I am so looking forward to a Palin/Bachmann ticket. We need more laughs during these difficult times.

When she gets the nomination, I think that she should nominate Orly Taitz for Attorney General. Also.

Per watching the crab fishermen on tv, we know that the ophelia crab season is coming up. As she is an ardent professional fisherman, and per the tv show, we know that there are millions up for grabs, why isn't she going out to sea for her share of those millions? She could also survey the sky for Putin's head without any city overcast.
