Perry Mandera might not be a well-known name in most circles. But when he tried to get people a job in then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich's administration, it seems his name carried weight, according to records kept by Blagojevich aides.

I wish the HuffPo had posted the Sun-Times's previous articles in which a hundred or so Illinois politicians and others were shown to have submitted names for jobs including President Obama who submitted 5. Many of the legislators who voted to impeach Blagojevich did the same. I don't defend the former governor, but he did not operate in a political vacuum. To post this story alone does not give the full picture at all and just makes it look as if Blagojevich was only dealing with petty small type slugs. Readers of this post should link onto the other articles in the Sun-Times.
