Frank Mccourt

people.com:

Forget the Los Angeles Dodgers' do-or-die battle on the diamond with the Phillies the real action is taking place behind the scenes, as Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his wife, Jamie, who happens to be the organization's CEO, duke it out for the future of the $722 million team.

And it looks like it's going to be messy.

Another story that proves that a Marriage Certificate is B.S.

Marriage is a lottery ticket for a lot of women. Why should a woman get half of a man's wealth, his house, his pension, and custody of the children.

Divorce law is set-up against men. Period.
Forget marriage. Just live together. If it works, great. If not, she gets out of your house and takes nothing from you.

Wait, but gay couples couldn't marry when they got together, right? Such a shame, they make such a great bi-racial couple.

Why doesn't the Obama Pay Czar come in and put some reasonable caps on how much these athletes make? All it does is raise the cost of ticket prices for middle class Americans who want to enjoy family fun. Also, the sodas and the hot dogs cost more. It's gotten so bad that poor people can't even go to the games. People have a right to be entertained without being gouged by greedy althletes who cheated their way through college!!!!

But seriously folks, how the heck you gonna say that Rush Limbaugh can't get into the NFL because of fake racist quotes, but the President's new "home town" of Washington D.C. has a team called the Redskins? Why all the duplicity? Feigning outrage over fake racist charges for political gain is as immoral as allowing a team to disparage our Native Americans in our Country's Capital.

Phony, elitist pandering to the emotional base in this country is making us all weak thinkers. The Republicans are as guilty as the Democrats.

Finally, I can't wait to see the Bengals in the postseason.

Prove to me that Rush's quotes are fake. Here I will set you up, disprove this quote.

"Barack Obama has picked up another endorsement: Halfrican American actress Halle Berry." Limbaugh then said: " 'As a Halfrican American, I am honored to have Ms. Berry's support, as well as the support of other Halfrican Americans,' Obama said." Limbaugh then conceded that Obama "didn't say it."

Don't pull the it was out of context line. It is plain old offensive.

BTW, I love how my Texans wacked those paper tigers.

And they have both made millions so let them pay. I am more concerned with healthcare, jobs and other life pressing matters and not War of the Millionaires .

Ugh. People.com is a mess. Pop ups, flash crap, annoying surveys.

Marriage law really needs to be overhauled. It made sense that the wife should get half of a man's wealth back in the olden days when divorce was so rare that it only occurred in cases of extreme abuse and when women couldn't find a lot of work outside of the house. But, now that women can find well paying jobs and half of all marriages end in divorce, neither spouse needs or deserves such a huge payout for what has come to be a rite of passage.

Are you saying that because a woman stays at home with their child, that she is somehow lazy or undeserving of her family contribution?

no, it's simply not worth half of 722 million. minimum wage is acceptable though.

There's something called child support, which I am in favor of. If you have a kid with someone, then split, you should have to pay for the costs of raising the kid.

Ouch.

Well, I don't care to deal with lawyers and courtrooms. People change, and marriage is often temporary. I think a marriage license may be the only kind of license that doesn't expire. Why doesn't it?

I'll consider getting married again when the marriage license expires after two years. To remain married, the couple needs to renew the license, otherwise the marriage ends. Property division and issues related to children could be written into the original license application.

Seems to me that people might work harder at their marriages when they realize that it's due to expire in, say, 97 days.

And yes, I know it will never happen. Which is why I will never, ever marry again.

I agree. I would love a "friendship with benefits" but no strings. Worked hard to make things work and it takes two.. so now.. think I will just enjoy doing what I want..

Hope you find some fun!

Thank you, Katie. I have no problem with a committed relationship but there is no way I will get married again. Be well.

Come on . . . given the stress of lay offs in this country, I could care less about this man being so worried about losing millions. Millions of dollars that could, and would, make a difference for so many people, especially those who have lost jobs and their homes.

I swear that if I had that kind of money, I'd help others as much as possible. No one, absolutely no one, needs that kind of money to live on, unless your name is Madoff.

I'm so shocked that so many people have no conscience.
