Having seen the conclusion of the "full" clip when he sits up, gets up and goes out the door you have to think this has all been an act.

You have the right to remain silent

If that was staged that guy is a physical comedy genius. After several views I'm inclined to believe it's real. Probably not just alcohol but some kind of drugs were also involved. I'd say the guy was already pretty ripped when he got to the store, and just after he walked in something in the pipeline started kicking in pretty hard. It took him 10 minutes to get his act together enough to leave. What I find amazing is his dogged persistence in trying to maintain some kind of outward appearance that everything is ok, like he can actually pass for sober if he just acts like it's no problem. "No, mm cool, 'sokay, man." If it were me I would be laughing my a** off and yelling, "Oh, jeez! I am am soooo drunk!"

Where's the humanity, where are the police...no matter what the cause of his state, it is possible he is going to go out and jump behind a driver's seat...could you imagine the humor of that as he came head on into your lane.

The man should have been sat on the floor and told to stay there....until the police arrived. (PERIOD!)

I agree. Incredibly funny to watch but there is NO way he should have been allowed out of the store and NO way behind the wheel of a car.

He didn't have the actions of drunkenness, he looked more like he had a handicap of some kind or he had had a drink while taking prescription drugs. His balance was wrecked.
10:11 AM on 10/21/2009
I totally agree. This is not a drunk guy. Depth perception and balance = zero.
01:32 AM on 10/24/2009
Ah, you can't really tell anything about his depth perception because his balance is so impaired.

The inner ear contains fluid and the sensory organs for both hearing and balance. Alcohol adversely affects balance by changing the level and composition of fluid in the inner ear. this is why police give roadside sobriety tests that involve demonstrating the ability to balance. If intoxication is severe, this can cause vertigo. In this case, the room seems to be moving and the individual will shift their body weight to maintain their orientation. Only, the room is not actually moving, so the person falls down.

This person's behavior can be completely explained by alcohol alone.

Haha that makes it even funnier
05:21 AM on 10/21/2009
He looks like he could also have a mild physical disability in addition to being under the influence...I laughed, but then thought, maybe it's not so funny...especially for him.

I am kind of hoping he was seen by a medical professional at some point.
01:34 AM on 10/24/2009
It is more likely that he went out into the parking lot and got into his car to drive home.
