Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez defended subpoenaing Northwestern University journalism students' notes and recordings of witness interviews Monday by comparing them to investigators.

The should be required to turn over their notes.
The *only* person that should have a shield law is an attorney for the defendant in a case. No priest, no reporter, no one else.

All on-the-record interviews and notes have already been turned over to the Prosecutor.

Asking for students grades and evaluations is not a credible or reasonable request.
It is harassment.
