I've lived in Vermont all my life and the fall colors have never failed to amaze me. I drove to Bennington a couple of weeks ago and was gawking around as much as any tourist. Our peak color lasted about 36 hours, until a rainstorm tore the leaves from the trees. The colors are mostly gone here now - only beech (green-gold and butterscotch), oak (green and bronze-red) and a few popples (bright gold) are left among the pearl-gray of the bare hardwoods and loden evergreens. It's still beautiful.

Just BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you for posting these photos.

We were in the mountains of North Carolina this weekend. The leaves are just starting to change. It won't be long before they're in full burst of color.

Leafers!

For those of you that don't get the reference, do a Youtube search for "family guy leafers".

What's great about fall is that no matter where you are for the most part--sorry south west and Florida--it is going to be beautiful.
