Alec Baldwin

people.com:

With some of Hollywood's most talented, glamorous and iconic females assembled in one room for Elle Magazine's 16th Annual Women in Hollywood tribute, it seemed next to impossible for a man to steal the show. But Alec Baldwin did just that, leaving the ladies rolling in the aisles while serving as the event's first male host.

During Baldwin's Dean Martin-esue stint at the dais, he had the largely female audience women -- including Katie Holmes, Renée Zellweger, Emily Blunt, Julianne Moore, Robin Wright and Julie Andrews -- shrieking with laughter as he took aim at a variety of topics.

i think alec baldwin is intelligent, talented, extremely funny, and loves his daughter very much; i do not know him personally, but i believe that he puts his daughter first in life. it is a shame that his marriage did not work out; another case of two gorgeous people and roaring hormones, but nothing in common other than that. i enjoy watching him on 30rock and in movies. he would be a fun date for a woman of any age.

If those women found Alec funny, they really need to get out more often.

At least he's doing comedy these days... he doesn't need to state actual facts for comedy .

I think Baldwin's hilarious. I'll never forget his "Shweaty Balls" scene from SNL, a freaking classic. I laughed so hard. His introduction here was intelligent, thoughtful, and playful. He's a rare and gifted speaker.

I've read statistics that say that women think the most intelligent personality trait for a man to have is a sense of humor. I'll bet he's getting a lot of nookie. LOL

I hope he seriously considers running against Lieberman in the Connecticut Senate race.

He's too thin skinned, which is too bad.

He's reactive, his mind hasn't been probed for analytical conquests yet. That's all folks.

He's good. The greatest? Maybe someday he'll get the award that says this, It would not surprise me. His comic genius is amazing. So funny. So witty, After all that heartache he went through with the difficult Ms. Basinger.... He should have accepterd her hair when it was short. Today he should have been more reserved at the airport and not acted like a pompous arse.Nobody is that important. So he had to walk to his car. The Limo driver couldn't wait. Nobody gets to wait, they need to keep those lanes clear. He felt more important. It's always something. The day Kim looks like a man is the day the earth stands still.

Adulation for sarah? Palin? That wasn't how he really feels. Watch him on Bill Maher sometime.

As for his treatment of his daughter, he's a jerk.

Ticket sales are dismal? Well that depends on what movie you go and see. What roles are out there? Tons. Look at Anthony Hopkins. He plays all sorts of different characters.

"Well that depends on what movie you go and see."

Duh! I'm talking about the overall, combined box office for the year. Adjusted for rising ticket prices, it has been on a steady slide for several years.

And Anthony Hopkins?! Really...? What has he done lately?

By the way, do you know how to use the "reply" feature on Huff Post? It's kind of helpful when you are trying to have a back and forth conversation.
08:18 PM on 10/21/2009
Yes, I know how to use the reply button, but sometimes it just says "favorites". You know I am not going to give you a list of the work Anthony Hopkins has continuously done all his life...or shall I? Yes I think I shall:

( As for the reply button,...it never used to be that way, Lately you just get the option of Favorites as if they closed the post for replies, and so some of us notorius repliers find a way under the original post to keep the conversation going. Ticket prices are not the reason because movies aren't good or bad, it's because there's so much to watch on cable and people these days have to work harder to make ends meet. Movies are not an every weekend luxury the way they used to be. People should find time to go, it used to be my only way to feel good during the week from all the hard work and chores and motherly
duties.)

That the world could really use a sequel to _LA Confidential_?
08:32 PM on 10/21/2009
Probably wondering how she can marry Alec again someday.
09:06 PM on 10/21/2009
I highly doubt it. Kim's probably glad to be rid of him. She has commented on the anger management Alec needs; he can be a madman.
