What's Your Reaction?

Earlier this month, Louisiana Justice of Peace Keith Bardwell refused to perform a marriage for an interracial couple, on the grounds that society has a problem "accepting a child from such marriage." Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-La.) and Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) called for Bardwell's removal immediately following the incident; however, Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) has been noticeably silent on the matter.

Blogger-activist Mike Stark pressed Vitter on the Judge Bardwell's widely-condemned actions Tuesday, saying, "I've read that you are the only senior official from Louisiana not to have commented on the judge that refused to marry an inter-racial couple."

The Louisiana Senator dismissively responded, "I don't think that's the case," and walked into an elevator.

Stark says, "Vitter looked at me and smiled, silently... and waited for the elevator doors to close."

UPDATE: David Vitter's office released a comment on Judge Bardwell's controversial decision Wednesday afternoon. A spokesman for the senator told Greg Sargent that Vitter thinks "judges should follow the law."

First, Sen. Vitter thinks that all judges should follow the law as written and not make it up as they go along. Second, it would be amazing for anyone to do a story based on this fringe, left-wing political hack's blog -- he's been handcuffed and detained in the past over his guerrilla tactics.

One must admit That David has an OK haircut. His suit even looks like its many, many notches above poor ol' Norm Coleman's rags! The problem seems to be that his trousers look so, ah, so baggy. I think thats the word for it. They just look FULL.

Isn't it about time that we try to help Senator David Vitter (R-La) with his sartorial problem? What more can a concerned nation do? My kids are older now so I have no current knowledge of which brans provide the most comfort and fit. It does seem obvious that the good Senator would benefit from the ordinary citizen's concern for the fit of his rigging!

This is a project that many of us, parents, baby sitters, day care providers, or just simple concerned voters can get behind! Lets not accept that padded look anymore! Let's demand that Senator Vitter eschew the padding and go for the svelte, trim look from now on!

Lets help the Senator realize his FULL potential. I'm sure with the proper ensemble he will make many a molehill into a mountain!

Americans, People of the World, let us help Sen. David Vitter take his deserved place among the treasured icons of this world!

It's not too surprising that Vitter ran away! He's the john that his hired prostitutes had to bring diapers to! What we really need to know is if 'liitle' Davy likes Pampers or Depends! What does our diapered by choice Senator really want? Soft and cushy or, Strong but loose?

It seemsobvious from what David has said that he prefrers "STRONG AND CUSHY"! These are not yet available to our heroic troops but if David Vitter has his way every single man, woman, or child fighting for truth, justice, and Vitter's (wink) way will be able to buy a fresh, unscented, pair!

Vitter strongly (!) beleives that gang rape is protected by contract law! Just like when he complained to the police that he hadn't gotten his $50 worth and the LOUISIANA police got his money back for him!

After all David Vitter is one of those special people! He believe in family, and family values, he believes in God, in Jesus, and in redemption! He believes very very, very STRONGLY in redemption and forgiveness. But, of course, only for David Vitter. That's because it all a plot to smear patriots and take Davids guns away! His wife agrees too! Or else!

First, Sen. Vitter thinks that all judges should follow the law as written

VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Luke 16:18
Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (So Says Jesus)

Lev 20:10
And the man that committeth adultery with [another] man's wife, [even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself. (Proverbs 6:32)

If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die.(Deuteronomy 22:22)

Should have asked him if he is in favor of interracial prostitution. He would of jumped all over that one.

Well, duh, of course.

He doesn't want to answer out of respect for the children.

Just like the judge.

That's also why Republicans are against health care and financial regulation.

They're thinking of the children.

Just when you thought compassionate conservatism couldn't get more empathetic, it does.

What a great land!! What a great Party!!

Vitter looked like he felt a sudden "warmth" in his di@per. Good thing the elevator door closed when it did.

Wrong question. Ask him where the topless bars are and he will answer right away.

Come on. This is the state of LA you are talking about. Political corruption, strip joints, and drive through liqueur stores are on every corner.

Or, if state officials didn't bring the JOP to court for civil rights violation, would that be To Book a Judge by his Coward?

Did you say David Vitter "ducks" or "sux"?

Vitter was smiling on the elevator because he was remembering the good times when he was paying the late DC Madam for his own diaper specialist. The Diaperman redefined being a pampered Congressperson. There should be signs nationwide when this guy runs for office again. The one element that could work in his favor: he can always say that he believes in CHANGE. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

You betcha!

Many folks have been sadly disappointed from over estimating the intelligence of the average voter again and again and again.

To be fair, he doesn't have a lobbyist telling him what to think on this one.

The trick is to grab his attention first.... "Senator Vitter...Candy is available at 6 p.m..........What do you think of the Justice of Peace who...." would have worked.

Throw in "Oh, and there's a BOGO deal at the Safeway for adult size Di@pers!" and he'd have jumped out of the elevator.
