Red Pandas At Chicago Zoo Receive Donations To Get It On
The Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago posted an online wishlist recently to get a few extra perks for the their park's animals. Now, one item has caught local media's attention-- the zoo's courteous request for their red pandas to get a room.
Red Pandas need privacy, especially if they're courting. We hope these special nest boxes will help create conditions for breeding.
The zoo asked for $326 dollars for the nest boxes, and Chicago's citizen news site, The Windy Citizen gave donations an extra push by setting up a "Lincoln Park Red Panda Sex Fund" on ChipIn:
Now that panda promiscuity has been fully funded, animal lovers can choose from a variety of other upgrades for zoo residents, including an "$10 Extreme Home Makeover" for naked mole rats and a $70 cookie jar for the zoo's primates.
The zoo says that new weird and wonderful gifts for the zoo animals will be posted all year.
