Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) suggested on Thursday that the White House should apologize to Fox News for highlighting bias in its coverage.

"I think that the president could send a big message if he were to say, 'Look, we were wrong. We shouldn't be singling out critics individually if they differ with us,'" Cantor told host Greta van Susteren.

White House officials aren't expressing any regret about singling out Fox News.

"This is a discussion that probably had to be had about their approach to things," senior adviser David Axelrod told the New York Times. "Our concern is other media not follow their lead."

Obama was not involved in the incident, but Fox wants to make out it’s his fault.

To deserve an apology, Fox should apologized to Obama and the American citizens of voted for him, for each and every lie and distortion they have perpetrated or parroted about Obama.

Then, maybe, if they can show that Obama was actually involved in the incident, Obama could choose to apologize .

It is kind of fun to see which of the wretched will come out and defend Fox. I guess, they will all give each other awards at some time.

Eric Cantor you should apologize to the American people for your gross leadership! You should be asking people like Glen Beck, and senator Grassley to apologize for their stupidity and lies.. But no.. Now you want the President to apologize for exercising his freedom of speech the way Fox supposedly does? The difference is that Fox lies just like you..... why dont you apologize to all of us and resign?????

The Repubs have been calling Obama and the Democratic party every insult in the book. They are calling him "the magic negroe", a socialist and hitler. Then when some one calls the news network, that is the propoganda arm of the Repub party, the propaganda arm of the Repub party They get all craybaby and start demanding apologies. They must have been one set of whiny brats growing up. They are the nastiest bunch, but at the same time they are more sensitive to insults than a 13 year old.
Cantor and Boehner should man up. Quit whininmg. It is very unmanly to call for an apology while you are calling some one names.

If I am not mistaken. Didn't GHWB just on last week singled out MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Rachael Maddow. If memory serves me correct, he called them "sick puppies" for blasting his son.

Last week GHWB was not POTUS.

Can you discern your logical misstep?

It was not a mistake airhead. I never said Geo HW Bush was the President. I was merely referring to a statement he made to a reporter about two of MSNBC's news personalities.

So if anyone should apologize the former Prez. should apologize to MSNBC.

Right Eric.

Just as soon as you not only apologize for, but cease to be, a slime ball hooker.

We're not holding our breathe. Just our noses.

Here's one...If you want more just ask.
September 30, Fox guest co-host Alisyn Camerota pushed the bogus stat that cap-and-trade would cost "every American family $1,761 annually." PolitiFact.com has labeled the statistic false and noted that the talking point has been pushed by Republicans.

Here's another:
FOX: On February 22, Wallace claimed that Attorney General Eric Holder "got into office by the skin of his teeth." However, Holder was confirmed by the Senate in a 75-21 vote, and the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 17-2 in favor of reporting his nomination to the full Senate.

Oh heck, Here's another:
October 1 edition of America's Newsroom, co-host Bill Hemmer joined his network's smears against Department of Education official Kevin Jennings by claiming that Jennings knew of a "statutory rape" case involving a student but "never reported it." In fact, as Media Matters has confirmed, the student in question was of legal age of consent at the time he was counseled by Jennings.

I could go on for day's:
August 23 edition of Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace hosted former Bush administration aide Jim Towey to discuss his Wall Street Journal op-ed, "The Death Book for Veterans," and in doing so promoted numerous distortions about an end-of-life educational booklet used by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). In addition to forwarding the smear that the booklet is a "death book," Wallace promoted Towey's distortion that the booklet encourages veterans to "pull the plug" -- it doesn't; Wallace and Towey both suggested that the Bush administration suspended use of the booklet -- it didn't; and Wallace claimed that a VHA document requires doctors to direct veterans to the booklet -- it doesn't.

Eric Cantor deals in falsification of facts and misinformation so much that he is incapable of evaluating whether a right wing media outlet like Fox is truthful. How is it news that he would say the President should apologize to one of the elements of the Republican establishment?

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:58 PM on 10/26/2009

Why deal with a network deceiving the american people when there are so many important things going on? Come on Eric - I'm pretty sure you know the answer to that, right?

Do you think Obama is a racist like Fox News does?

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:29 PM on 10/26/2009

With luck, Eric will start holding his breath while he waits for President Obama to apologize to Fox Faux News. That would be the last we would ever hear from Eric. It would be great if Michele Bachmann joined Eric and held her breath while they both waited for an apology from Obama, sort of a two birds with one apology deal.

Eric cantor thinks its a little STRANGE.....lol
