100% agree. Poorly executed. Who wants to hear a cacophony that resembles music? Having 1000 cell phones 'play' together is useless if they're not playing together!

Not real.

Completely corporate advertising, the "geeks" were actors.

I'm kind of surprised at the negative comments. It's all just a bit of geeky fun.

Because it wasn't any good. There was hardly any musicality in it. The set up made it appear that there would be an interesting visual to go with it as the phones turned on, but nothing was made of it. Who was the guy at the podium and what on earth was he doing? About the only clever thing was the use of the vibrating phones on the drum, but even that had no oomph to it with regard to the music being played.

So much potential completely wasted.

This. They had to put the phones over a recording of actual music to make it sound like anything. Im not even sure the beeping from the phones resembles anything on its own.
