Daylight Saving Time 2009: November 1st

First Posted: 3/18/10 Updated: 5/25/11

Daylight Saving Time

It's that time of year again.

The U.S. begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March and reverts to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November.

In 2009, daylight saving falls on Sunday November 1st -- so we'll all have an extra hour to sleep in the morning after Halloween.

Remember, in the fall, you set your clock an hour back, to 1:00 A.M.. For more information on the history and controversies behind Daylight Saving, check out this helpful site.
