Jan McGirk: Herding Big Cats Won't Save the Wild Tiger
Farming tigers in order to save them may turn out to be the equivalent of herding cats: an impossible undertaking with too many variables for sustained success.
A visit to the Wild Animal Sanctuary will warm your heart, put a smile on your face and bring out the joy of being a wondrous child in you.

Every last manufacturing deal we do with amoral China is a "deal with the Devil". Including the manufacturing of that sexy ipod and macbook many of us own. Offshore manufacturing is something we've been buying for a half century or more, but not with countries that could be classified in many ways as our enemies, with values opposing ours on almost every level, and a steady and strong military buildup. The real & myriad consequences of our enriching China and weakening ourselves at the same time haven't begun to surface yet. Our inability to influence their treatment of animals is a small foreshadowing of far greater conundrums.
Pathetic is the only word I can think of.
So how stupid can humans be?
Poor animals
Disgusting and truly heartbreaking. I don't know how these people can find meaning to there lives.
We're still allowed to eat their hearts as aphrodisiacs right?
The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me. By the way, HP, skinned tigers should not fall into the category of "Current Sweet Animal Stories". (Caption located on the upper right under the "Vote Now" green text.
The saddest part of all is that there is no rehabilitation and no cure for that kind of stupidity and greed. When there are no tigers left they'll just move on to the next thing. They'll never learn that you can't eat money until there's nothing left to eat..
The wealthy Chinese don't care about anybody, and China is notorious in its brutality towards animals. They don't care that Tigers are endangered. They don't care. They're so desperate to be richer than rich, and to show it off to anybody they can. The rich in India and in the Middle East are like this, too. It's pathetic, really. They have absolutely no consciousness or integrity--and no class. We need to get on the fast-track to economic recovery, so that we--and the world--can start making the rich in China, and in other developing nations, pay the price for their destruction of the natural world. (The same goes for the U.S., too.) I'm sick to death of self-absorbed rich people and their destruction.
What a pity that China actually 'owns' us as a nation. These are the people that should have sanctions against them.
I so agree. By the way, Hi Mary.
