The 15 Most Annoying TV Couples Of All Time (VIDEO)

Ever since a poll was released declaring "Whatever" the most annoying word in America, we here at HuffPost Comedy have been busy cataloging the Most Annoying Things in the Universe. We started with song (Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Breaky Heart" was deemed WORST OF ALL TIME), moved on to TV Character (Screech) and this week turn to romance. To wit: which two on-screen characters have the most annoying relationship of all time.

We think this scene captures everything awkward, stretched out, painful, and annoying about Rachel and Ross as a couple, and "Friends," as a show.

I'm not sure the "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" example should be in this poll. Sure they were annoying, but the show was on for one season, and nobody saw it. It's like a twist on the old Zen Koan. If a tree flops in the forest, and nobody was there to watch it, did it suck?

Please add Lily and Marshall from "How I Met Your Mother" to this list! They are the only reason I can't/don't watch this show. I can't be the only person who finds them both utterly obnoxious (not only as a TV couple but also as actors).

I have literally never seen any of those shows EXCEPT Cheers, and Sam & Diane were a great couple...Diane was all the class on that show.
