Bill Ritter Budget Cuts: Governor To Announce New Round Of Cuts After Medicaid Enrollment Increases

Gov. Bill Ritter's office on Wednesday will reveal its plans to rebalance the state budget, likely meaning more cuts to state programs.

The planned cuts come as the current deficit is expected to grow larger than first predicted because of surging Medicaid enrollment -- bringing the state budget shortfall since September 2008 over the $2 billion mark.
