LIQUIDITY LUNCH: According to an invitation obtained by the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation, Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) scheduled a noon fundraiser on Tuesday at a Capitol Hill restaurant-and-wine-bar, which could have interfered with a 10 a.m. Financial Services Committee markup of some financial regulation and investor protection bills. Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), also a member of the committee, likewise was scheduled to attend Rep. McHenry's fundraiser. The committee markup went on well past 12 o'clock.

RAKING IT IN: On Wednesday, Oct 28, Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-Md.) has scheduled a noon-time fundraiser at the National Democratic Club Townhouse. That might interfere with a 10 a.m. hearing for the Agriculture Subcommittee on Horticulture and Organic Agriculture, and a Natural Resources markup of five bills, also at 10 a.m.
