What's Your Reaction?

Bill O'Reilly has a long history of sending out producers to ambush people who won't appear on his Fox News show, and his latest target is Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson.

Grayson, who has been very critical of Fox News, was ambushed by Fox News' Griff Jenkins, who wanted a comment regarding Grayson calling Fed adviser Linda Robertson a "K Street whore," The AP reports:

Robertson is a former top Enron lobbyist and Clinton administration adviser who was hired by Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke this summer to help with congressional relations as lawmakers are seeking more oversight of the agency. Washington's K Street is where many lobbyists have their offices.

Griffin also asked Grayson what he thought about Rep. Anthony Weiner saying that he is "one fry short of a happy meal." Grayson refused to answer, telling Jenkins that he must make an appointment like other news organizations if he wants a comment. Grayson has apologized for his comment about Robertson.

Bill, Grayson will never give you an appointment. Why should he? You need ratings for your show and Grayson will never give you that, and good for him.

Progressives.

You must understand how to fight.

Anyone who goes against the conservatives is attacked forever.

We must do something similar, but with the truth, and fairly: We must never stop trying to remove conservatives from power and office, and to single out the worst.

Lieberman for instance.

The conservatives who stick their heads up, are the ones we prosecute and replace first.

I googled "cable news ratings" and got similar figures to the ones I posted at this url
http://tvbythenumbers.com/category/ratings/cable-news

Then I googled CBS news ratings and got the broadcast news ratings at this url
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/evening_news_ratings/evening_news_ratings_week_of_june_1_118500.asp

The first set of figures are not from the site from which I drew the stats. in my comment, but they are very close. The second set are the same as the stats. in my comment.

Bill O'Reilly reached his zenith on Inside Edition. He's been down hill ever since.

The problem with FAUX is that it DISTORTS the truth and therefore has blinded itself of its primary mission with is to represent the Republican agenda. Fox has lost its senses.

If I was Grayson, I would boycott Faux News, too.
If he had answered the questions, they would have edited and twisted them anyway, so what is the point? Why bother with them? They are a pure propaganda mill, not a news organization.

O'Reilly's stooge asked some dumb questions. Grayson laid out some important facts about the number of people dying from a lack of health care.

Lets get away from the name-calling and lay out the facts. 46 million without health insurance, America spends over $13,000 per capita annually (higher than all other industrial countries) yet when measuring infant mortality, life expectancy, and other health indicators, the U.S. is at the bottom. The U.S. also spends more money on the administration of health care with costs continually rising, accounting for one-sixth of the U.S. economy. Two-thirds of bankruptcy filings are the result of a health care issue. Honest, hard-working people who played by the rules are vulnerable to the current system.

The health care industry needs serious reforms. And Grayson simply pointed out that the Republicans want to maintain the status-quo.

The problem with Fox is that they refuse to represent the true Republican platform. I am neither Republican nor Democrat because I consider myself an American first who evaluates each candidate on a case by case basis. The most important factors are not what side of the aisle they are on, but how they will truly benefit the Congressional district or country. Fox refuses to produce a story that is beneficial to their platform. Perhaps if Glenn Beck and O'Reilly focused on the accomplishments of their fellow Republicans a distortion of Democratic ideals would be unnecessary. Most importantly in this clip it is blatantly obvious that this rep's comment was taken out of context and spun to fit the propaganda like news content of FOX. What the Congressman said was directed to lobbyists, not women. Any intelligent feminist/female who takes offense to a comment so obviously condemning the actions of individuals accepting money to actively damage legislation that stands to benefit millions of people (e.g. Health Care) should truly reevaluate their own principles because hyper sensitivity among feminists seriously jeopardizes the current respectable status of feminism.

Nice try O'Reilly but even you can't distort the facts on this one. Grayson was cool and calm whereas your reporter as well as Faux News looked as sleazy as possible. The entire right wing extremist machine is in in last gasps. I love it.

"The level of activity that we see today from a military standpoint, I think, will clearly decline. I think they're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency." Dick Cheney June 20 2005. I think it's suitable to follow up your great comment.

Speaking of irresponsible things, isn't Griff "Yes, that is actually my name" Jenkins the same Fox "news" reporter who reports on staged protests with coached crowds?

Well, yes! Yes, it is!

More like Griff "Yes I Intentionally Dress Like This" Jenkins. If he ever ambushes me, I'm marching him straight to the mall for a makeover.

the ONLY thing he has done right so far as I can see is grill the Federal Reserve.. I guess he needs to talk to his masters before he has enough sense to answer a question.

I love the fact that so called conspiracy theorists words are coming true. Everyday more and more.
