This is the actual face of the American Nation as it is viewed on a global market. We are see as fat, lazy, deprived people. This is sad due to the fact that as a nation we have brought forth the innovative and modernized theroy that has lead the global market as of now.

I want to thank Lou Dobbs for speaking up for jobs . Last night he said our country was basicly being hollowed out . I like that ad that reminds we are legally bringing millions each year in to take jobs that the citizens we already have won't get.

But Obama says the stimulus has kept us "from the brink".
Looks like the brink to me

and if EVERYONE would ignore all inhibitions, insecurities, fears, procrastination, etc., and took action on their largest, fish, task, deal, pitch, sale, etc., every day at 10 30, for 10 biz days in a row, would we have a noticeable result.

I wish there had been some info added to a couple of these. The photo of the man (alone) did not even give his name. (Even noting that the guy refused to give it, if he did, would have been better than nothing.) And the photo with the VIP parking did not state where it was taken.
Grousing aside, most of those were good photos.

For this holiday season for the best interest of American citizens struggling to make ends meet, or to get through another day of joblessness and hopelessness everywhere across our nation. Let’s, the rest of us still surviving the economic crisis throw a financial revolt by not buying into the consumerism of the holidays. Basically, only purchase what we essentially need and leave the cheap Chinese crap on the shelves. Beforehand writing or calling congress, making it clear if they don’t start doing something proactive that we can see or approve of to help the plight of ordinary Americans over Wall Street or the Banking Industry then this country can look for other ways to make up for the GDP losses else where. Hey congress, get it from the banking industry or Wall Street.

For more...http://hiteminthewallet.wordpress.com/2009/10/28/american-citizens-should-we-stage-a-financial-blackout-for-this-christmas/

During the 12 days of Christmas another American gave to me…food, clothing and shelter, lobbying for me. Lowering of GDP, stock market crashing with no stock market trading. Poor media ratings, no unneccessary purchasing and bank withdrawing. Another day of hope, survival and possible future job for me. Happy Holidays from the citizens of America! Spread the word and good cheer!

I don't know, but this whole thing feels more like a depression rather than a recession...

We need more stimulus spending. More jobs programs. Lets pray that Obama can get it done.

Yeah... Spend more taxpayer money... Really screw this country into the ground... And oh yeah; dont cut any taxes so businesses can hire people, just keep up the mantra of tax the rich and make the rich pay their fair share....That will work.

Yes, tax the richest among us as we did before RayGun. Warren Buffet has said his secretary pays more tax than he does. The rich can take advantage of tax credits and tax deductions that we cannot. It's not the same as your working Joe who has his 15% or 28% taken out of his paycheck.

A few years back, I was analyzing tax returns for a man who earned about a million $ a year. He paid no, as in zero taxes. Something's wrong with that.

....`But you were always a good man of business, Jacob,' faltered Scrooge, who now began to apply this to himself.

`Business!' cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again. `Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were, all, my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!' ....

Charles Dickens, 'A Christmas Carol'.

I am really concerned about what is happening to so many hardworking Americans. But let's be honest. That guy sitting at the bus stop was probably at that same spot 20 years ago.

I look at the picture of the child, mother and grandmother on the mattress in the homeless shelter in Chicago, and I feel so sad for them. . . BUT. . .

Then I read the caption which says the mother has SIX other children! And I immediately become incensed.

1) That this woman would have SEVEN children she cannot support.

2) That her mother is burdened with all EIGHT of them.

3) That the picture is deceptive in that only ONE child is shown to tug at the viewer's heartstrings.

There are plenty more like her. Never ends. She's brought 8 more people into this world to live a life of poverty and they will more than likely repeat the same mistake.
