Sarah Palin Fashion Flashback: Which Campaign Clothes Were Winners And Which Were Losers? (PHOTOS, POLL)

As the one-year anniversary of the 2008 presidential election approaches, and as the world awaits the November 17th release of Sarah Palin's book "Going Rogue" (and for which she was paid a retainer fee of $1.25 Million), we thought it would be a good time to look back at the former vice presidential candidate's campaign clothes. Yup, possibly the same ones that caused that $150,000 controversy. Which outfits were winners? And which were losers?

Meet Sarah!

Palin made her national debut on August 29th, 2008, wearing a conservative black suit and red "Naughty Monkey 'Double Dare' Pumps" (more on those in the next slide).

All of the fashions are winners.....it's just that they were being worn by a LOSER!

SP may be many things, but she's not a loser. She has enough political power to have thrown a NY political race. She commands the loyalty of her 22%-ers, who would follow her anywhere and do whatever she told them to do.

As far as her sense of style goes, she does great when she has to dress herself on her own budget, and spectacular when she has the RNC's money to burn.

When she was governor, she always dressed well for public functions, and because she chose simple, classic pieces, they may have been inexpensive but they didn't look it.

The one thing she wore (her "signature" look, I guess you would say) was the huge corsages she wore. There was just a disconnect with those things.

She is not a loser she is a quitter.

Her fashion is courtesy of the RNC donors and she spent like a wildly on high end items, all while trying to sell herself as a "hockey mom".

People hate phoney liars. Something Palin has proven over and over to be.

This woman is NOT a fashion plate. I had noticed last year, some of her clothes were way too big on her.

Without a stylist overseeing her, this woman has no fashion sense whatsoever. Zilch!

throughout the entire campaign (once she entered the fray), i hadn't heard anyone say she resembles peggy hill from the cartoon show, "king of the hill."

if anyone had ever mentioned it, i hadn't heard it...

She is a twit, but she does look good. Then again, when you have someone else forking over the bill for your clothing and you have a stylist, it's your job to look good. People on here have been criticizing Mrs. Obama for wearing "too expensive" J Crew and Gap that she pays for out of her own pocket, yet they won't say a peep about the twit's $3k jacket that she did not buy, their campaign contributions did. Oh the irony.

ITA with your comments about Sarah Palin, twit-to-looking good.

Of course, she looked better when someone else was paying for her clothing, hair and makeup styists. The way she blew across the U.S., buying high-end stuff for her family, and her attempts to keep all the RNC-paid clothing, is just another example of her complete lack of ethics, and her money-grabbing ways.

Even when her clothing wasn't paide for by the DNC, when dressed for work or work events, SP looked great on the limited amount of money she had to spend. There were lapses, of course, when her true Clampet nature would come out, but mostly she is a good example for putting together professional yet edgy styles on a limited budget.

She has a great figure, and she knows how to dress with cltohing that is figure-flattering and suitable for a professional woman.

SHE LOOKS COMPLETELY FAKE! She has no soul and it shows.. so fake..

It is not hard to look great with all those high end clothes, a makeup and hairdresser on staff, accessories to back it all up. All paid for of course, by the RNC not the DNC.

She ran amok in those first few weeks of her 3 month fly over on her broomstick.

Why is her hair always styled like she just bought a bad infomercial product? The Bump-it look and the easily braid your own hair look. Does Todd have Flowbie hair?

I agree, except when the RNC was paying for her hair and makeup stylists, when her hair looked great.

I just think of the 80's bad hair days and the bump it reminds me of all the Jersey girls with high hair and heavy makeup.

Yep, when the RNC had a hair stylist on staff her hair looked good.

You're so right. When I was 13, many years ago, I loved my new red shoes, but my brother who was then 22 teased me like crazy saying only ladies of the night wore red shoes. Thereafter I wouldn't wear my red shoes and didn't until many years later.

LOL. Those red heels rock, especially because she wears them with a business suit. The fact that she can wear those high heels all day and still smile makes me extremely jealous, but they do look great on her.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:11 PM on 11/01/2009

She didn't.

She switched to flip flops if you saw the pictures.

She did that in NYC too. Switching from nasty open toed sandals to sneakers.

BTW..open toed shoes with a business suit-just wrong!

This is a lame topic. She is not going to even be a player in the political world in future elections and she is no longer in office. Palin is a has been.
