Theoretically, this is great advice. The problem is most of us don't get the sort of deep restful sleep the brain needs. You might be interested in this interesting study done in Britain. Basically, it shows a natural sedative that promotes deep, restful sleep - sort of like Socrate's hemlock but for sleep.
