The wife of NY1 newsman Dominic Carter insisted Thursday she was beaten up by a day laborer - not by her husband.

Marilyn Carter drew a blank when asked to name her mysterious attacker, but said she picked him up on Route 59.

Very disappointed to hear this if true about Dominick, because I always thought he has been an excellent political reporter.

I think it's reprehensible that she would blame her abuse on a day laborer. It's quite possible these immigrants who are merely trying to provide for their families will now be harassed because of her false allegations. What should disgust everyone even further is the fact she feels the need to dehumanize an individual by not deeming it important enough to know their name, just because they may be a day laborer. Truly despicable - these two deserve one another.

This is the same man who made a big issue out of the governor being out at 2 AM (as if the gov has a mandatory bed time).

He and his wife should be ashamed, I doubt that they are.
