Rachel Maddow Explores Palin's Secret Small Business "Pie Spy" (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin's financial records were released on Tuesday, and they have many curious as to the small business she formed in her final months in office called "Pie Spy." Pie Spy is described as a business involving "Services for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities" in documents filed with the Alaska Department of Commerce, but other than that we know nothing about it.

Kent Jones on The Rachel Maddow Show decided to help fill the void with some rampant speculation.

Pie Spy or let's say SPY PIE. Maybe Palin's Co. will be billing Govt. agencies (state or fed) for services rendered to the elderly and disabled. Maybe the billing will be fake in order to catch fraud (SPY part) or maybe she just wants a piece of the PIE.

I promise you Palin won't run in 2012. She does not ever want to be accountable to voters again. She was a failed governor in a state of 700K residents and was lucky enough -- because this is America where we celebrate strangeness over smarts and pluck over ethics -- to garner the favor of Rupert Murdoch, the arch-Right media mogul, which is the only reason she QUIT: $$$$$$$

This has been a ' Bad week ' for Pay-lin.

This Pie Spy is small potatoes compared to the outright Lies she made on her last financial disclosure.
She's not even trying to hide her deceptive shenanigans. AKMuckraker posted a story with the financial statistics gathered by the other Alaska Blogger, Celtic Diva.

How is a former governor allowed to get away with these blatant obfuscations and attempts to play by her own rules.
Aren't there ANY Legislaters up there in AK that will make her accountable to the Laws..?

OK - PIE is the FAA designation for the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.

Now - St. Petersburg is the 2nd largest city in Russia.

So apply the Kevin Bacon Rule and remember it is Sarah Palin.

If this is just a way of setting up some kind of business "to service the needs of elderly and disabled", I would like to know if such a scheme could really work to take care of one's own aging parents whom are ill or disabled. Frankly, many people could use some kind of innovative (and legal) method to offset un-payable expenses for needing to take care of sick family members. Could one deduct 'business' expenses and take 'tax write-offs' for such endeavors? If so, this could be a real boon to distressed families facing this kind of crises. Anybody ever done this?

There are tax deductions now for home care of the elderly, but this is going to become a more dire problem for all of us as the # of aging Boomers peaks. However, I'm not holding my breath that it will be Palin to help us, given her dismal record on social services in AK.

On the contrary, I quite believe the story from Levi Johnston that Palin wanted Bristol's baby as her own instead of Trig. She is such a narcissist. Who could believe her claims about his being the best gift to her, etc.? That's only to woo the parents of special needs kids...handy when you need them, to be ignored, however, the rest of the time.

See any photos of Trig with Palin recently? Any stories of special care for him? Pity that child for his self-involved, $$-hungry mother.

Very possible! Palin is an unethical person to the extent that she uses her look to get whatever she wants then quit when a better opportunity comes along. She has no public service endeavor whatsoever. Once an unknown governor knwoing nothing about the glittering million dollars world outside Alaska she now can smells money and be drawn into it. She got the $1.25 million while she was a governor and of course that awoken in her the easiest way to make money than being an unethical governor being sued all the times. In facrt, the more unethical and d*mb the more she can make money! How's that for Palin?

Not sure if this has already been posted but, PieSpy is a software app that allows you to collect internet data for mapping into a visual constructs. Maybe Palin just used the title from the software apps. Not so original, to use app name for one's file save, but that's just me. If you do a Google "image" search using PieSpy, there you'll find all the ways this prog. is used. From financial to social networking and beyond.It's a tailored made data mapping application. Now what she has in her files may be another matter.Maybe she's keeping track of who's who on her list of whatever and is data mining her enemies or friends or financial related ...etc etc Just a thought.
