Half of these celebrity costumes shouldn't even be included. Regis and Kathy and the Today show people were dressed up by the show staff using resources regular people do not have access to. And many of the celebrity costumes show they hired professional costumers and make-up artists (Seal and Heidi).

I think Kyle McLachlan's costume is best. You can tell he thought it up himself and he did it himself. Also Jeremy Piven. Both used what they had around the house rather than paying someone to create something spectacular but unobtainable to the average person.

I am disgusted by Heidi Klum's Halloween costume showing herself as Hindu goddess. If all gods are one, how come Hindu god is a demon to her? She calls that a Halloween costume? Which religion asks to mock other gods? Many Christians even consider this as Satan's day (go read Wikipedia). Considering herself as a public personality she show be more responsible for what she teaches the world.

There is no evidence that Klum thinks of Hindu gods as demons. Indeed, Halloween's roots are in the Celtic festival of Samhain. The celebration was to honor the spirits of their dead ancestors while warding off bad spirits. The wearing of costumes and masks was to ward off the bad spirits--the costumes represented good and powerful forces.

You jump to some conclusions about Klum without knowing her intentions and without knowing the history of Halloween--that really shows an uneducated and overly emotional response to a situation.
