Airlines cancelled dozens of flights and 3-4 hour waits this week as DIA struggled to clear nearly two feet of snow off of runways. The ordeal created its share of horror stories, one of which involved--ironically enough--Dave Carroll, the musician who was so outraged by United's man-handling of his guitar that he penned a song called "United Breaks Guitars," which became a Youtube hit. United lost Carroll's luggage this week as he passed through Denver.

In honor of Halloween, and to celebrate the end one of the most frustrating travel weeks Denver has seen in some time, we decided to highlight some of the most frightening airline travel stories of all time. Vote for the story that is most likely to give you nightmares, and add your own scary tale below.

We are painfully aware that the tales below represent only a tiny fraction of airline horror stories. In the spirit of Halloween, we want to hear your most terrifying bone-chilling, leg-cramping, customer service nightmares.

United Breaks Guitars ... Again

Dave Carroll's timeless classic "United Breaks Guitars" has earned a spot in the irony hall of fame: United lost his luggage yet again recently when Carroll headed to meet with customer service executives for the airline. According to The Times of London, the video has cost United at least $180 million--enough to purchase Carroll more than 51,000 replacement guitars.
