What's Your Reaction?

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) told ABC News on Friday that he would probably support some Republicans in the next election.

"I expect I will support some Republican candidates for Congress or Senate in the elections in 2010. I'm going to call them as I see them," Lieberman told the network.

Distancing himself from "partisan, passionate, ideological" politicians on either side, he added, "Sometimes the better choice is somebody who's not a Democrat."

Hey I know Israel's like the great ally of allies but do the GOP have any Jewish senators or reps not including New York state. Black,Latino's don't seem to be recruited to the GOP saving for propaganda. Now what are their sentiments toward Jewish folks? Anyone have any input on how welcome they are in the GOP sanctuary??? I don't want to label these characters I do like a general view of things.

What an arrogant little man! Even if he is going to support Republicans in the next election it is too soon to say so. No one has even been nominated or announced yet. He is just saying it for the attention and to let his real constituents (monied players) know that he is on board. What a creep! He should remember that the only reason he was elected is that we were early in the country's swing toward the Left and he almost made sense as a transitional type candidate. But "liberal" is no longer a pejorative term, Joe. We don't need a halfway point and you are obsolete now. The Dems do not need guys like this anymore. Let him go Republican. At least he won''t be able to stab us in the back.

I'm all for ticket splitting voting for the best person but we know who made it all partisan politics. Who have refused to cooperate and acted like they won the election last year. Shame on you spineless Democrats for letting them get away with it. Just think if McCain was a true maverick this cat would likely be the VP right now and healthcare wouldn't be on the table. Let the voters of Conn show this Judas Ischariot the door. I though he'd make a good VP,however he has shown he is little if any use to the Democratic Party so put him out to pasture he can lobbby for the Israeli government. Maybe the GOP will run him for President in 2012.

Remove him as chair of Homeland Security. He does not deserve to have that honor, can't see that he has done much anyway. What he has done is mock the Democrats because he got all pissy about Ned Lamont and was made to feel "unloved." His ego is nearly as wide as his mouth. Sort of reminds me of Howdy Doody, with everyone (read insurance everyone) pulling his strings and making him dance.

If he does join the filibuster against the health care bill, the Democratic caucus has got to remove his chairmanship(s). "Caucus with the Dems" must mean SOMETHING. If he wants to vote against the bill, that's one thing, but voting to deny an up-or-down vote would be beyond the pale.

Agreed. He is an independent and should vote for that constituency. It was foolish for the Dems to continue to kow tow to his every whim and allow him to retain the seniority he had as a Dem Senator. Even Republicans are smarter than that.

Once the Dems cut him loose, he will not longer have an shock value re/ his political decisions.

By 2010, no one will care what Lieberman thinks.

Honestly, we're almost to that point now.

He also strikes me as an egomaniac who thrives on having everyone on both sides of the aisle kissing his corrupt a$$.

"Most" CT voters "definitely" will not be backing Joe for re-election. Funny how that works out.

Voters in Connecticut, I appeal to you. Someone please get a recall petition going for this guy. I’d think most of you who voted for him last time are sorely disappointed by now.

Not possible until the voters of Connecticut get the State Legislature to pass a bill that allows a recall.

Good question. And the answer isn't a need for 60 votes.
