I like the last line of the article "Good riddance," We always export the worst of our "culture" to other countries and Mickey D's falls in to that category.
One small step for McDonalds but a giant leap for mankind.
Fast food chain restaurant burgers are dog food. Period. Years ago, it used to be a guilty pleasure, a greasy but very yummy cheezy and sweet/salty alternative to making "mom" style burgers at home, which seemed plain and boring. But those days are gone. The quality of the beef is incredibly bad. I've had burgers I've had to spit out of my mouth, and when I've looked at the burger, part of it was a different color. There's grizzle in every bite. It's like a bad hot dog now, not a burger. I'm not sure why people know this and yet keep buying it. I stopped a long time ago.
Barflishiously good!
Hey Icelanders!
McDonald's is doing you guys a HUGE favor!
Besides, I know you guys are smart enough to know how to make your own burgers!
I had the same reaction! Even though in reality I'd have to be near starvation to eat that stuff.
If you were starving that's exactly what the body would want you to do. It would release a chemical in the brain that gives you a craving for exactly this. Food that it can turn to fat cells and store for the next time you are in starvation mode.
Whaalaa, a nation of obesity, heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
I had some very good fish in Iceland (as you would expect) and some of the best lamb I've ever had (and I've eaten a lot of lamb).
One last trip to McDonalds - to serve as a reminder why they weren't eating there in the first place.
i think i ate my last Big Mac...right after the first one....never liked them...now The Big Whopper.....there is a hamburger~~~
I spent a2/3 years ni northern Michigan where a city was 30 miles away and truly, if it's not in front of you all the time
... continuing if it's not in your face you do forget about eating it.
I'm no princess of clean eating, but in MI, I'd go to the city thinking I'd pig out and find myself 3/4 of the way home and the Arches/Bell hadn't even come to mind.
