True Story

We are planning a fall campaign to launch a new challenge to encourage students to join the. And we were trying to figure out what the prize should be for the student who recruits the most marchers. We are planning a fall campaign to launch a new challenge to encourage students to join the Virtual March on Washington to Stop Global Warming. And we were trying to figure out what the prize should be for the student who recruits the most marchers. That's when I blurted out, "I know! Let's curb global warming and win Larry David's car!" Everyone loved it, and now I was left with the unenviable task of telling him I had just given his car away in the pursuit of stopping global warming. I tried to reach him, but his assistant said he was in the middle of shooting a scene and would call me back. He didn't -- and she ended up accidentally letting the cat out of the bag herself.

"Hey, what are you going to do about a new car?" she asked him, assuming that I had already told him about the challenge.

“What are you talking about?"

"Oh, Laurie gave your car away today."

"What?!"

Now he is at the bottom of the six-month waiting list for a new Prius. So if you happen to run into Larry... offer him a ride.
