Jon Gosselin has set himself upon the road to redemption and hopes to set the record straight about his relationships and reputation.

During a public dialogue Sunday night with celebrity Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at New York City's West Side Jewish Center, the reality star, 32, said, "I think I'm just misunderstood. I'm not a fame seeker. Everyday I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous]. I don't sing. I don't dance. I'm not a Nobel Peace Prizewinner. I just had eight kids and I had a show on TLC."

It's all still child exploitation if either parent continues this television show - those eight children bought and paid for their parent's fame, lifestyle and 1.3 mansion with their CHILDHOODS.

No children should be in Reality television shows without the SAME PROTECTIONS that their counterparts in scripted shows have - and it needs to be in all 50 states. THAT is the ONLY reason there is no Octomom show, she was dumb enough to have her kids in California WHERE THERE ARE PROTECTIONS for children in entertainment.

All 50 states need the same - otherwise none of this is any different than a modern day Dionne Quintuplet tragedy.

I'm not a fame seeker, he said in his press release. He's presently on a promotional tour hyping his new reality show by making a public statement on his rabbi's reality show.

Next week he'll make an appearance on the reality show of his best friend, Lindsay Lohan's dad before going on a date with Octomom on her reality show.

But he's not a fame-seeker.

He put himself, his family, his marital woes and subsequent dating travesties up for scrutiny, like the star of some kind of Freak Circus. I'd say, considering all that, he has not failed but, rather, has been quite successful at putting his life and the lives of his loved ones up for public ridicule. I've really had enough of the plethora of dubious celebrities spawned by reality television.
