If the story is about military purchases why is it illustrated with a handgun?

Second, why would anyone assume that the Iraqi fiasco was lost on anyone simply because they are in the Western Hemisphere?

Invading a nation that was no threat using make believe excuses. In violation of the UN Charter.

And with NOBODY in the World able to do anything about it?

I wouldn't care who the American President is at this moment in time. I would be arming my country innanticipation of a repeat of the criminally inept Republicans gaining power again.

Of course all this is money being wasted. Money that could serve the people of the area with housing, food, jobs.

But with the USA sitting to the North spending more money on arms than the rest of the world combined.

I can understand their reaction.

I would not wait for Bush Doctrine.2.

Paraguay is eying Bolivia. That's rick. Boliva would be doing a huge solid if they invaded Paraguay. That place needs help. Mind you, Bolivia is no piece of cake either but combined, something could happen.

Latin American countries have every reason to be paranoid. And they have every right to protect themselves.
