Beth Ditto: People In Heels "Look Crazy...Wear Flats!" (VIDEO)

Musician Beth Ditto has become an unlikely poster-girl for fashion, but her stylista mentality embodies everything that's right about the industry. She told Style.com, "I'm really into looking decent and being comfortable at the same time because I think that if you look uncomfortable you don't look good and that's something I see in a lot of people, like, running down the street in these awful shoes...it's like, you don't have any swagger, you look crazy, just wear flats!" She also talked about being butch in high school, breaking rules and how punk would have been nothing without fashion.

Why would anyone take this persons advice seriously? She looks like BOZO. Heels make your legs looks better. Her hair is ridiculous, her make up is freakish and who is she anyway?
Her clothes are crazy and Barnum and Baily Circus is the only vendor who would find this person useful. IMHO

My wife wears only heels, there is not a pair of flats in the house. She has swagger. But at 120 lbs she's not having to balance so much weigh.

I thought it was interesting that she talked about 'un-learning all the fashion rules' she'd been taught, while at the same time declaring that others shouldn't wear heels.

I agree that there is no real reason for someone who looks like her to wear heels, but for any woman who actually has good looking legs and wants to show them off looking their best, heels definitely help.

No meant as a knock at her... she is who she is and it is good that she embraces her own style.
