The Wall Street Journal:

After pumping more than $1 million into an upstate New York House race to elect the Conservative Party's Doug Hoffman, the Club for Growth is on the hunt again.

Chris Chocola, president of the conservative political action committee, made it clear the PAC is looking for more GOP targets who don't embrace the Club's limited-government approach.

I have a place where we can fit many republicans. We can take the cap off my septic tank and load them in one at a time. Then we can put the lid back on, nice and neat.

Note to Charlie, your hug of the very unpopular President when the "stimulus" was being passed may end your career.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:46 AM on 11/04/2009

Democrats fear Charlie the most and that's a fact my friend, so take him in the primary please, at least bloody him a little. Wasn't it Reagan, who said that Republicans shouldn't attacked other Republicans? What I found interesting, in election polling, those who wanted there vote to be a protest to Obama keeps on showing up around 20%, the same percentage of idiots who thought Bush was a good president.

Oh please keep up the good work! More fragmentation, disputes about who is conservative and a base that is not growing but now has to choose sides. Oh this is great!!!

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:21 AM on 11/04/2009

The purging of moderate Republicans have now begun and Olympia Snowe is at the top of the list.
Since the Republicans have started to eat their own, we need to concentrate on the Democratic Party.

There is room for disagreement but not betrayal. All Blue Dogs need to be put on notice to change their Party affiliation and go to where their philosophy fit best.

The Democrats are so fragmented because of the Blue Dogs and that will soon change.
Now that we have gotten the attention of the Democratic Party, handle the Blue Dogs as well
as Joe Lieberman, show some back bone and put these rogue Senators in check.

We are not playing and we demand results.

I totally agree care4. Let's tell these guys to pick a side.

The Democrat Party purged its moderate members a long time ago. All that is left is a bunch of Communists/Socialists/Marxists. Look at the group that's leading right now.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:48 AM on 11/04/2009

At least there isn't any neo-con new left Trotskyist and fascist in the Democratic party, we kicked them out many years ago.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:11 AM on 11/04/2009

CommunistUtopia I don't agree.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:26 AM on 11/04/2009

Apparently, you don't understand what a communist, socialist, or Marxist is. Some of us like democratic socialism, although what we have is a far cry from that. The communist/Marxist reference is simply hyperbole.

You should stop using big words if you can't be concerned to know what they mean.

I'm from Florida. While I did not vote for Crist, I do respect him as a
moderate and progressive. However, he's changed his tune on drilling
for oil and on regulating development. People down here are not at all
happy with him right now. And they also feel he's bailing out on them
after serving only one term.

Actually the 23rd District should be headline news, they have never elected a Democrat since the Civil War....Come On HP, that is history!

That's fine with the Dems, the Center will give money to the far right conservatives and have them run on the independant ticket, trying to get rid of the moderates. Sounds to me like the Dems won't have to raise as much money for the next couple of elections. Don't the far right get it, that the moderates and Independants will not vote for one of their people?

Guess he should not have supported BO's stimulus package. He obviously doesn't have common sense.

Will Hoffman move to Florida and be able to run for Gov.? He's their man.

Mr. Crist has been a good Governor. He's worked against his party for the benefit of the state's citizens, which is only right and proper. He'll make a good senator.

Good luck Club for Growth if you start attacking Charlie Crist !! Expect another loss. Charlie Crist is very popular in Florida, and a moderate. If Palin, Beck, and the others try to bring Crist down, I predict they will walk away from Florida with "egg on their faces" just like they did when they interfered in District 23.

Even most of the comments from the conservative WSJ are saying the Club for Growth are hurting Republicans with their "witch hunt" for RINO's.

Club for Growth......for Democrats. I am behind Club for Growth 110%; I might even donate to them if they need help. Democrats don't need a lot of campaign staffers anymore. Club for Growth will do it for free. After Club for Growth has succeeded in its hunting, welcome to the United States Senate, Senator Kendrick Meek (D-Fl), junior senator from Florida.

So if these guys go after Crist. then a Dem will be elected. Just look at NY23. A constant Republican seat for over 100 years could not be won by the extreme right. What will happen in a district that is not so reliably Republican?

You can't tell them anything. Newt Gingdrich tried to warn them about Dede and the NY-23 race. They were all excited about Palin and Becks endorsement. They don't understand for most Americans Palin's a joke and that lack luster 75,000 people at best "Pee Party" of Becks went right over their heads.

Obviously, you've not paid attention.

The "Club for Growth" chose Hoffman, along with Sarah Palin. Hoffman conceded some hours ago. HE LOST. Democrats won a seat that a Democrat hasn't sat in since before the Civil War.

Does any of this make sense to you?
