Easy for you to say. You don't have to fight and die for some abstract concept.

UN General Assembly Resolution 194.

7."Resolves that Holy Places including Nazareth should be protected and free access to them assured."
http://daccessdds.un.org/doc/RESOLUTION/GEN/NR0/043/65/IMG/NR004365.pdf?OpenElement

Fact:Jordanian and Arab Palestinians violated that provision and destroyed or despoiled thousands (!) of Jewish holy places and thousand-year old cemeteries
Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria and other occupiers denied ALL Israelis-- Arab Christians and Jewish-- access to ALL holy sites in their controlled territories.

9. "Resolves that freest possible access to Jerusalem... should be accorded to all inhabitants of
Palestine."
http://daccessdds.un.org/doc/RESOLUTION/GEN/NR0/043/65/IMG/NR004365.pdf?OpenElement

Fact: Jordan And Arab Palestinains denied ALL Israeli citizens -- Arab, Christians and Jewish-- access to Jerusalem. Especially to the holiest place of Judaism--The Western Wall of the Temple.

next subject.

It's rather pathetic that the world leaves it to Hamas to enforce international law:

Palestinian refugees have the right of return -- UN General Assembly Resolution 194.

The West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are occupied territories a -- UN Security Council Resolution 242 and 338 based on the international principle of the inadmissability of the acquisition of territory by force.

It is illegal for the occupying power to transfer its population to, or to change the status of, the occupied territories -- Fourth Geneva Convention.

Israel’s unilateral actions to alter the status of Jerusalem are illegal and invalid -- UN Security Council Resolutions 252 and 478.

I suppose that's why Jordan annexed West Bank. And Turkey annexed a chunk of Cyprus. LOL

Turkish occupation of Cyprus isnt recognized anywhere outside Turkey.

It's more pathetic that you excuse Hamas' killing of civilians as "enforcing international law".

"Palestinian group Hamas has declared that the fragile six-month ceasefire between Israel and Gaza is now over...
Speaking on Thursday - one day before the truce is due to expire - Ayman Taha, a Hamas official, said "the calm is over".
Fawzi Barhum, a Gaza-based spokesman for Hamas, told news agency AFP that "there was no possibility of renewing the truce".
... Rowland noted that Israel had been keen to extend the Egyptian-brokered truce - particularly as the country is expected to hold a general election..."

Hmmm, Palestinian supporters and indeed Palestinains themselves always talk macho. It is the actual fighting that they chronically underachieve at. LOL.Well, unless it's against women and children, of course.

Maybe. Israel's been pulling its punches since 1948 and never gets anything but the back of the world's hand for its efforts.

I can't think of a population in any city in America that'd put up with what Israel's had to live with, not for six days much less 60+ years.

If Israel had reigned in the settler crazies decades ago and stop claiming every scrap of land from Cairo to Beirut theyd may have been more popular with their neighbors over their short history.

Just sayin

Israel really want to bomb Iran nuclear plants to end their nuclear program, they are looking for any excuse to do so. Hamas is giving them that excuse they have been looking for. Hamas has always played the cat and mouse game with Israel, throw a stone, and run like hell.

The ostracism of Hamas is propoganda. The intent of the Israeli government is to divide on conquer and opposing Hamas' involvement in the "peace process" the Palestinian people are kept divided; unable to overcome the occupation. The PA plays into Israel's hands because Abbas and his croonies realize that forming a coalition with Hamas will mean a death sentence for Fatah and the perks of power they enjoy.
So Abbas plays along in this hypocritical game with the Israelis and the US, whilst making the obligatory noises of protest every now and then.
Israel and the US can loathe Hamas as much as they want but the truth is that Hamas was elected to represent the Palestinian people. Granted, Hamas as a non-legitimate organization committed atrocities against Israeli civilians, but no more so than the legitimate Government of Israel. In other words, Hamas is just as "rogue" as it's Israeli counterparts. To suggest that any Palestinian government should be subject to the Israeli and US selection undermines the very notion of a sovereign state for Palestinians.
Hamas has to be brought to the table and made to cooperate in the peace process. Otherwise all "peace processes" and "talks" will not be able to achieve long-term peace.

Hamas was created and funded by Israel in the early days to weaken the PLO. The irony is that without the support of Isreal, Hamas never would have come into existence.

Look it up.

If Hamas succeeds in hitting Tel Aviv, one wonders whether you will be 1) sitting here noting that the civilians of Tel Aviv are paying for their choice of electing war criminals and human rights abusers for decades or 2) calling for innocent Arab blood to be spilled...
